Gentry rattles off his finalists in simple terms. "Tennessee, Oklahoma State, Texas and Alabama," Gentry said.
Upcoming trips to Texas and Alabama may or may not be Gentry's final visits, but it seems as though that will be the case for the time being. The allure of Alabama is obvious. He talks about on-field success and the fan support that surrounds the Alabama program, while Gentry's relationship with Charlie Strong and company adds importance to his pending trip to Texas. Gentry is scheduled to arrive in Austin on Wednesday afternoon and will depart for Alabama's spring game on Friday morning.
"I don't know a whole lot about Texas other than it's the same staff that offered me a Louisville. They were, like, my third offer. They've been in contact the whole time. I mean, I know them so well. I pretty much have a full year under my belt of knowing them compared to all of these other schools."
Things will move fast following his upcoming travel. Gentry has no intentions to drag his recruitment out. He won't sniff his senior season as an uncommitted prospect. Instead, things will come to a close this summer. "I think I am going to try to make a decision the last week of May or in early June," Gentry said. "I should be able to do that easily."
