What's with so many Ukrainian political leaders posting messages on Facebook? Is that the go-to site for political information?

That is probably the only way to get their message out to the world without any filtering.

NATO : "There is absolutely sufficient (Russian) force postured on the eastern border of Ukraine to run to Transdniestria...very worrisome."

I still think Russia is just posturing at the moment, mostly in an attempt to agitate the eastern Ukraine and, in its aim, get the eastern Ukraine seeking Crimea-like referendums. In Russia's "attempt" to put a halt to supposed unrest in the eastern Ukraine, it's actually creating unrest. This is Russia's goal.

Now, if this fails after whatever Russia deems a sufficient amount of time, then Russia may very well come rolling through the east and south all the way to Transdniestria.

I know a military buildup takes some time, but Russia has had sufficient numbers to invade the Ukraine for a few weeks now, as I understand. If Russia was going to do it, it just seems like it would have done it already, instead of giving Ukraine and NATO more time to prepare. Now, if Russia deems the eastern Ukraine not making enough "progress" towards reintegrating (at least economically and philosophically) with Russia, then I suppose all this changes.

Yes. I suspect the Ukrainian command structure was pretty chaotic a couple weeks ago.

I think Russia is trying to get the Ukraine to start fighting so Russia can have an excuse to invade.

Ha ha. It appears Russian TV has some comical moments.

As I understand, they have numerous comical moments. The guy actually has a point, to be honest. The problem is it's an absurd one. Why stop with the US and Ukraine? Why not ask if every country on Earth, including Russia, is illegitimate? At some point, they just about all pushed out someone else who had already been living or in power there.

Not a smart move when it could potentially cost them more land...

If Russia just expects Ukraine to continue to poor energy into a section of land that Russia forcibly took they're retarded. If it's now Russian territory Ukraine has no obligation to support it, period.

I know we have some issues as well, but what are all these "self defense" and "pro-Russian" (aka, Russian special forces and military) trying to hide? They get so rattled so often. Hardly the actions of those who feel themselves completely in the right, at least from an international perspective.

And on a similar not, where are all the fascists? I keep hearing about fascists? Where are they at? I want to see some fascists, darnnit'! Maybe it would spice things up a bit.
