Bobby Jr. needs to stick to racing at the Nashville Fairgrounds. I like his dad, but he is a LITTLE punk. :bad:
Bobby Jr actually won me over earlier this year, believe it or not when he ran at the Fairgrounds. Mark Day wrecked him 10 laps in, and Bobby Jr went after Day after it was over. Any enemy of Mark Day gets moved way up on my list

I have to agree with Jenn on this one guys. I meet him at MIS this past season and he was a total jerk! He ranks right up there with Stewart in that department.

I don't like either one of them. LOL

Everytime I have been around Bobby Jr., he has been a foul-mouthed punk. He will say every cuss word in the book right in front of kids and that is a no-no to me. :nono:

Tidwell, those are some great pics. I always like to see pics of a wrecked 24 car.

Rocky Top, I like Stewart. He used to be a hothead, but he has toned it down a lot. I like him for not being a Nascar puppet like Jeffy and Jimmie. Stewart will tell it like it is whether anyone cares or not....plus he is a dirt track driver too, that is always a plus.

Tony has cooled it down alot in front of the cameras, but off the tracks he seems to be the same. I went with a friend of mine to Indy last year so he could get Tony's autograph. We was about 5 people back from him when this kid about 8 years old got up there and accidentaly handed him a Ryan Newman car to sign (Newman was also there signing). Tony gave it back to the kid and said to the boys father "If you expect to get my autograph be sure you have the right damn car. If you don't you and your kid ain't worth my time being out here today." Myself and about 10 others got out of his line at that point. He made a complete ass out of himself and had the kid crying. So deep down he's still the same Tony to me.

Great thread! I have been a fan all my life! My daddy drug me to every race in the south as a youngster. Back when you were a true redneck if you went to races. (they weren't on TV, except a delayed Daytona 500). I was a diehard David Pearson fan, I really don't have a favorite now. I usually pull for whats left of the old timers. However you can buy my loyality. I will wear your drivers gear and cheer for him madly! Let the bidding begin!

The Silver Fox was one of the best drivers ever, back when racing was actually racing and it wasn't so much about the show!

The best! But I'm biased! 105 victories in less than half the starts than King Richard! Hell the Woods Brothers didn't even run for the Championship in those days!

I'm a Carl Edwards and Sterling Marlin fan mostly in Cup and a HUGE Brendan Gaughan fan in the Truck Series. If you haven't been to or gotten into the Truck Series I highly reccomend that you try it. The racing is far much better than Busch & Cup.

TennFan,

Which #77 did you get, Kvapil or Gaughan's? I've got about 80 of the 1/64ths and around 15 of the 1/24ths. Mostly of Sterlings,Carl, Newman's and a few Kenseth.

Jenn, I've never met Bobby Jr, but based on your experience I'm sure I wouldn't like him either, especially if he can't even watch his mouth in front of kids. Sounds like daddy needs to take him behind the woodshed

The truck series rocks. It may be the best racing of any series out there.

Yeah it's what the Cup series use to be before all the damn rule changes! :banghead:

Yes it is. I lost track of the truck series for a few years after they went to Speed Channel. Now that I've got my Speed, I'd much rather watch the trucks than Busch, and damn near as much as cup.

Going to Truck races are much better also; easier to get out traffic wise, better racing and more fan friendly drivers. Now they just need to make the races longer!

I agree. The truck race at Nashville was really cool. Of course I may have to find a new driver in the truck series b/c Deborah is not sure if she'll be back or not. If not I'll probably jump on the Erin Crocker bandwagon.

I like Erin alot! Me and the wife actually ate dinner with her after the IRP race last season. We was talking to her down in the pits after the race and she asked where was a good place to eat at around Indy so we said St. Elmo's. She asked for directions and wanted to know if we wanted to meet her and her team there, of course we was like "hmmm?" lol...Not every day you can eat at the same table with a Nascar driver! Been in her fan club ever since.

Did I mention she bought? :D

The Truck Series is definately better than the Busch and Cup Series in my opinion. I like Ron Hornaday and Kevin Harvick when he races in them.

Ron and Kevin are cool. Outside of Brendan and Erin I'd have to say Ron is 3rd on my list.

Now that is awesome. I wish I could hang out with a driver like that. :D I sent Erin a fan email after she was wrecked out two weeks in a row by Justin Labonte. She took the time to reply and that meant alot because most drivers won't do that. It shows that she really cares about the fans!
