I wonder if Lucy will show up when he is playing for the Vols. I volunteer to escort her around.

Last Friday NCA scrimmaged Pearl Cohn the coaches said Lawless was very disruptive but took quite a few plays off. I said guys every 300+ lb player takes plays off from Kohn Henderson to Suh. So i personally think it was a jab at him due to the fact that he comes from PC lineage. All of his family went there and I think theybwanted him to go there likewise. I have not watched any film on the gm so i don't hv an analysis of my own. But the PC coaches said Brant played in the back field at will and gave their qb and running game fits. Also said that allowed the coaches to move Bituli around and he and Lawless are a deadly 1-2 punch

Talked to Brant and he said he loves CBJ and when he came down with Bituli he loved the environment. Also let me see this picture

How is this guy progressing? Is he still projected as a big-time target in the '18 class. No chatter about him like u hear with Litaker and Emerson. TIA

I imagine he'll have to hit the camp circuit pretty hard to get much publicity since he has such weak competition.

The Lawless twins were some beasts at PC in the late 90's with John Henderson. If I remember correctly, academics and some behavioral issues were the only drawbacks. But they definitely had division 1 talent.

Has lost almost 35 lbs since last year and will see some action at TE & fullback this fall.

“I’ve lost a bunch of weight preparing to play both sides of the ball,” said Lawless, who has scholarship offers from Alabama, Auburn, Georgia, LSU and Tennessee, among others. “I’m running a lot more and working out a lot harder, but it’s something I’m happy to, stepping up and helping my team.”

...“He’s got great hands, he runs really well, runs great routes and he’s obviously a big target,” Brothers said. “You can drill it in there to him, and he’ll catch it. And to tackle that guy is going to be quite a challenge. It should be fun.”

If DT is the position colleges are looking at him for, could you imagine the salivating coaches and S&C coaches are probably doing right now. Kid is down to 265 from 300. Put 25 - 35 pounds back on him through a college S&C and nutritionist......booyah!! Beast!

Seems to me that it would be a lot different than putting 25 - 35 lbs on a kid that has never weighed that much before. This guy has already weighed that much before, you just get the chance to put it back on him the right way.
