Saturday's game marks the 44th meeting between Tennessee and Florida, with kickoff slated for 12 Noon on the SEC Network. The Gators own a 24-19 edge in the series. The 22 meetings in Knoxville have been split (11-11).
During the last five seasons since 2010, Tennessee is 10-2 in Noon kickoff games at home, including 4-2 in SEC play.
Tennessee's last win in the series was a 30-28 win on Sept. 18, 2004, on a 50-yard field goal by James Wilhoit with seven seconds remaining. Florida owns a current streak of nine consecutive wins in the series since 2005.
Tennessee has scored at least 30 points vs. Florida only twice in the last 13 meetings since 2002, winning both games (34-32 in 2001, 30-28 in 2004).
This is the latest meeting between Tennessee and Florida on the calendar since 2001, when the events of 9/11 moved the game to Dec. 1. It is also the first time since that game that the Vols are not opening SEC play vs. Florida.
