Tennessee Softball 2024

Already looking like a four team race for the title. We are in first still have three games to play to equal what A&M has already played.
As much as Karen Weekly and I both like Bella Faw it's going to be hard to justify putting her back in the starting lineup once she recovers from her lower leg injury. She is obviously one of Karen's favorites but with the way Destiny Rodriguez and Laura Mealer have been playing as of late how do you place Bella back in the lineup. Do you make either Destiny or Laura the DP to get Bella back in? I hope Bella's injury is not serious enough to prevent her from taking reps in the batting cage as that is what she needs to be working on. What are your opinions on this subject?

Getting closer, GB lol sort of

She could put her back and take G out as one of them is going to need to play less. Mealer can play first or third or DH. We have to keep going with Puni, DRod, Mealer, Boo, West, Milloy, Pannell, and Nugent. Who you want to play with those right is up to the coach.

What's wrong with Bella?

I would just stick with the lineup as it currently is. Mealer is fine at short.

I have been down on G some, well more than some, because of her hitting which is poor, however, after getting to see her play in the field this season she is a good athlete that can play multiple positions well which makes her valuable for a coach. I can see her getting more PT in spite of her lack of hitting just because she can relieve other players.

I have been on Faw's bandwagon from the start but agree that Mealer is the better option there this season. I think Karen has a bit of a coaches dream this year with several players she can move around in the field and batting order with little to no drop-off. This could be a special team this yr.

Bring on the Sooners!! Ok maybe that was a little over the top but get my drift.

I got it, 👍

A very large cargo ship lost electrical power and took out the bridge at 1:30 in the morning. They were able to mayday authorities before they hit the bridge but six people are reported missing. Work crews were on the bridge at the time repairing potholes plus cars on the bridge toppled with the bridge into the water. Water temperature is 40 to 50 degrees F.

Already looking like a four team race for the title. We are in first still have three games to play to equal what A&M has already played.
A&M doesn’t have its SEC off week until the last weekend in April, so it will look a little off until then.

The updated SEC site finally is sorting the standings by winning percentage, which is how the title is awarded in baseball and softball, with the rainouts that are a staple of the season and leave teams with an uneven number of conference games played.
