Stormy Daniels sues Trump

No, I think extramarital affairs reflect poorly on ones character. I do judge people harsher who cheat on their spouses or significant other. To then payoff the mistress adds another significant black mark to their character.

I agree a man that cheats on his wife can’t be trusted. But don’t try and tell us you would give 2 ****s if were another President.

Hog, I respect the hell out of you and you are otherwise a bit of a sage, but this is either the driest of your jokes or the dumbest ****ing thing you've ever posted.

You know I’m right. It would be a blip at most.

For all my sins, infidelity ain't one of them. It goes further than extramarital. I think cheating is one of the ****tiest things a man can do.

Don't try and tell us you wouldn't give two ****s if the POTUS was a Dem.

For real though, sex scandals have ended more politicians' careers than anything else.

It's the most bipartisan thing there is.

I didn’t give a **** about Bills infidelity.

I’ve cut ties with one of my oldest friends because he cheated on his wife so I take the matter seriously. Trump is a scumbag but so is almost every politician.

This would be a huge deal with literally any other president/politician, but especially president. But there are so many scandals associated with Trump I guess we all are desensitized by this point?

This wouldn't get a second of airtime on CNN/MSNBC/NYT

Bill. ****ing. Clinton, bruh.

Your argument sank before it even left port.

Bills problems were not extramarital affairs, it was sexual assault and harassment that brought his dalliances to light, then he lied under oath about it.

What was Hillary’s deal to stay with Bill? She got to be POTUS one day?

Bill eventually admitted to the Lewinsky affair. How that played out in their household I do not not know.

Trump denies this. He denies everything. Heck, he even denies some of the things he's already admitted to. He's absolutely shameless.

Note: It occurs to me that I am wrong about one thing. Trump has neither personally admitted to nor denied the Stormy Daniels affair and pay off. He has simply ignored questions about it.

Now, he did at one time have Huckabee Sanders deny it for him.

Now?

Well, now they are just not going to answer any more questions about it.

Know why? I do. Its because Trump faces direct criminal exposure in New York, and arguably on federal charges as well, of fraud and campaign finance violations.

He's caught. Red handed this time. He cannot bs his way out of this one. Hope they indict him. The lawyer needs to be deposed or sent to the grand jury for testimony.

If we are talking reasons to impeach... this doesn't move the needle for me now. I thought it was stupid when they impeached Clinton for getting a bj and it would be stupid to impeach Trump for banging a porn star.

IF, and it's a big IF, they found he misappropriated campaign funds to silence a mistress then we could discuss impeachment.

NOBODY cared about Bill ****ing Clinton.

Well, on second thought, maybe you are right. After all, they left the WH dead broke, and earned something like a billion dollars or so. Yeah. His character is really in the toilet.

Its an interesting question. What if Trump AGREED to pay Cohn back for paying her off, but then stiffed him? Like he always does.

He gets away with it because he's a fraud? Would be pretty funny.

It was pretty simple. He didn't have a choice. When he couldn't lie his way around it he come clean. I wouldn't hang nobility around his neck for that. "Yeeeah, yaw got me".

Hillary didn't mind as long as she rode him to the top of the political ladder, the fact he was riding someone else at the time didn't matter.

I'll bet if you asked 1000 people your age that fewer than 100 would get that right. I'm impressed.

BC was a genius politician though, I will give him that. He KNEW the Senate wouldn't have the votes, so he rode it out and he KNEW that nobody would remember it.

Oh, I did not mean to call him noble for admitting it once he was caught.

My point is that Trump is denying it, much like he has denied other things, only to eventually be cornered. But even if he admitted it at some point, the smart money says that within 6 months he would just deny it again.

The larger problem for him is this: By now, I would think that most people (even his supporters, though they really don't care) do in fact believe that Trump has been lying about his affairs. Even possibly about some of his unwanted sexual overtures to some of the other women.
They see Trump promise to release his tax returns, and then he does not.

They see Trump repeatedly failing to meet his financial obligations.

They see Trump say X on Tuesday, and Z by Thursday.

I have to think that at some point his lying is going to be viewed as so bad that people will recognize that he is lying to them pretty much all the time. He has no conscience against it and views it as a tool of his to get what he wants.

So when he says over and over, no collusion, or when he says over and over he has no ties to Russia, its going to infect that, too. Hopefully when the time comes for his supporters to step up to the plate and call it like it is -- that he is owned by Putin and the Russians in some way and worked with them to win -- they will have had enough of his lying. And abandon him before its too late.

What jurisdiction would NY have over a federal campaign? None that I can think of.

What is the usual punishment for campaign finance violations (if this is even one)? Isn't it normally just a fine?

edit: and Bill wasn't impeached for getting a BJ. He was impeached for lying under oath, a pretty serious offense.

I doubt that. Just did a quick google search and most of what I found for the punishment for misappropriation not associated with theft or other crimes is a fine by the FEC.
