Aaron Willis will be a mainstay by the fourth game if not sooner. Mean and athletic tackle hound with instincts and football smarts.
I feel the same about the ILB position. if DL and DB are successful in their assignments, ILB's create havoc. A breakdown with either puts that position in no man's land. Henry T. ,Q, and JB were less effective despite their athletic abilities due to other positions being a step behind. Better scheming should address that. I know 2 are in the portal, but still enrolled in classes.IMO, more than than any other position, RB success is a product of the system. If you have someone who can grasp the concepts of the offense and has athleticism appropriate for the level of competition, that RB will be successful if the players around him are doing their job.
Honestly thought Page has already transferred. Depending on the DC, scheme et al he may stir from the bench but I don’t see him as a sure fire starter.Willis is a good one. Someone from the Memphis Trio from last class (Eason, French & McDonald) will step up too .. likely Eason will start next to Banks & one of the other guys will back up with Beasly & Page to begin the season.
I think they might add a body or two from transfer market if any of Salon Page or Aaron Beasly leave post spring, just for depth.
I personally like the talent if not experience at RB. Small to me looked nearly as good as Gray in limited carries.1. End rushers
2. Solid two RBs
3. Linebackers
Thoughts besides every position lol
What are your concerns on the OL? I think the guys who are gone largely underperformed. They never became the dominant group they were expected to be. Some units are greater than the sum of their talents... and some are not as good as the sum of their talents.O line and D line are pretty barren right now with all the departures.
