Is it? If the guy had used a knife and went in stabbing people, would you be calling for a ban on knives? Should fertilizer be banned, because we know it can be used in bomb making. It's not about the tool. It's about who uses the tool. I don't understand blaming an inanimate object for how a dumbass uses it. But hell, let's just totally eliminate personal responsibility and stop holding individuals accountable for their actions. It's not their fault. It's that damn gun.

Honest question. Do you think limiting the availability of guns really solves the problem? If your argument is guns are a weapon of convenience, then won't crazy people just gravitate toward the next most convenient weapon? What then?

Its because said inanimate objects sole purpose is to kill, and these AR 15s are extremely efficient at it. Citizens should not be allowed to purchase them.

Sole purpose?

How many AR15 owners have killed someone? If it's the sole purpose I'm guessing all AR15s sold have been or will be used to kill.

Target practice is a purpose.
Hunting is a purpose.
Self defense is a purpose.

If the dude shot the people with a semi handgun they'd want to ban those. If it was up to them we'd be lucky to have muskets.

Do guns make killing easier? Yes. Is that their sole purpose? No. Guns can defend. They can serve as deterrents when used properly. They can put food on your table. They can serve a multitude of purposes. If you're teaching guns are only good for killing, that's on you, not those who own guns responsibly.
