Manafort Trial Thread

I can't give you a reason any sane person would make a threat. You seem to have a tighter grasp on reasons for crazy thought, which is why I figured you might have the inside track on who dun it.

Ok a sane person probably didn’t make the threat. So we agree it was a lefty. Good glad we reached consensus.

Quite the leap there, since details of the threats were not mentioned in the article. You have no clue whatsoever about the nature of the threats. Of course any chance to call for violence against the left and you jump all over it.

That's not really a great leap of imagination the way the left has been acting the last couple of years.

Unfortunately it is not all that uncommon for judges to receive threats. They tend to be pranks, just because they have a moment of fame. But, threatening a federal judge is no joke. They catch you, its prison. For. Sure.

Please. After a few days of Fox and Trump chortling and shifting gears from the current mantra of "The Manafort trial has nothing to do with Trump" to a new version of "The Manafort trial was all about Trump," it will fade into nothingness.

Lol..says the guy whose party base still thinks Russia stole the election from Hillary...almost 2 years later.. This Manafort trial is gonna crush and demoralize your party if he doesnt get the book thrown at him.

I think they will convict on some charges and exonerate on others.

But why in the hell was the Special Counsel, hired to investigate Trump colllusion with Russians, involved in this?
Why the hell cant he get a slam dunk conviction on 10 year old known financial crimes.

It’s beyond time for a Mueller Amateur Hour thread.

Because Rosenstein's mandate appointing Mueller as special counsel gave him the authority too.

"any matters that arose or may arise directly from the investigation" So If he discovers any federal crime that may have been committed within the statute of limitations it is his job to either A. investigate and indict or B. investigate and refer to the proper U.S. Attorney (Example Micheal Cohen's case was referred to the SDNY U.S. Attorney.)

Watergate lasted 4 years, Whitewater 7 years, Mueller is well within the correct amount of time.

Yeah worn out excuse. Both had actual activities related to POTUS by 18 months in not 10 year old financial crimes by a short timer underling. Keep the dream alive though Carlos.
