legal fees for the guy he may have killed in the parking lot?

honestly, what casino would let you walk out with $160K to a dark, abandoned parking lot.

Yeah the second the sketchy guy who knows I just won $160K walk up to my car I'm locking the doors and peeling out.

Also I'm not sure I would've trusted in the pigeons. I've watched a pigeon eat a cigarette butt off the sidewalk. They should've used groundhogs or some other animal with known prognosticative abilities.

Anyone still watching this show?

This is the only show I've EVER seen where instead of previews for the next episode you get previews on what's happening in the coming weeks. Like they know that a preview for a single show would suck and wouldn't draw anyone in.

I'll keep watching just because I'm in it and to see where it goes, if anywhere.

The white people breaking into peoples' houses and stealing their photos need to be shot for that crap.

I confess to watching. I thought the sheriff was going to accidentally run over his estranged wife when she was trying to fish that lighter out of the storm drain and then Liv Tyler would have to testify about his ragaholicism. The hippie guy who attacked the pregnant Asian girl while he was porky pigging it was a nice touch, I guess.

I'm still watching and will till the bitter end because I need to know. The I don't give a f@%k pot head daughter gets on my nerve until I remember that her mom walked out on the family. I find the white cult very interesting but not sure what the other cult (the one the the sheriffs son is in) is all about.

I pretty much hate every second of this show, but I keep watching out of curiosity, hoping for some sort of answer....I don't know how long I can last.

It's pretty much been said that the audience is never getting an answer on where the people went so I hope whatever you're waiting for an answer for isn't that.

Who said that? I appreciate it if you save me the time

"The Leftovers has absolutely zero interest in explaining its central mystery."

“My hope is that [viewers] will understand that the heart of the show isn’t about the question of, ‘Where did those people go?’” Perrotta, who co-created and is executive-producing the TV show with Lindelof, tells TVGuide.com. “It’s a question of, ‘How do the people that are here continue with their lives?’”

I think I'm done, then. Thanks! I'll be aware of what's going and checking in, cause my wife will be watching (for now). This may be a pretty fun thread. I loved bailing on Lost early and then mocking all my friends who got so pissed and frustrated watching it.

If this gets renewed for a second season then they really need to reevaluate the pacing and invest a little more into the question of what happened.

Kinda funny. Coolest tv show concept yet it was just completely fumbled...even if they did revamp it in a second season in tv if you fail the audiences first impressions then you typically don't get a second chance. For instance The Killing had a sluggish first two seasons, then they realized they needed to speed the pacing of the the mystery/crime within a single season, but by the time season 3 came around and they revamped a lot too many viewers had given up.

I'd rather watch another horrible season of Trueblood than see this show for a second season. The saddest thing about this comment is that I'm still knowingly recording it.

It's like a bad Dooley football season. You can't stop watching and you keep hoping something will happen.

Uh....well ****. 2 minutes into this episode and a white smoker lady gets stoned to death...

(Am I going to hell if I admit I was happy) :)

Been looking for a show since GOT. Watched 24 in cracked out mode in one sleepless night. Watched it like Jack would. Meh. Can't do True Blood. Tried this show this weekend.

Nope.

The preacher-centric episode was fantastic. All the others have been average at best, and usually worse.

That scene will go down in my book as one of the most disturbing kill scenes I've ever seen, possibly the worst. I honestly had to look away it was that bad. I thought for sure they'd pan away and let you imagine the rest but they kept throwing those huge rocks until she died.

OMG!

I guess the most violent thing in tv and movies that really bothered me was in Kill Bill when she smashed the hospital attendants head in the door.

Not only was it violent, but there was a ton of hate and rough emotions accurately portrayed on Uma Thurman's face that it really bothered me.

As did I.

I'll echo what others have said. That opening scene was really hard to watch. I can honestly say I don't think I could do that to another human being, no matter who they are. If I was to ever watch this episode again (which im sure i won't but anyway) I'd probably skip past it.

As far as the show goes... It was just good enough to keep me on the hook for another week. This show is definately benefiting from the fact that there isn't much good on right now.
