That call did not give Tennessee the win over Vanderbilt.. nothing the referee did had any impact on the outcome of the game.

Let's assume he did everything right.. EG returns the int for a TD.

Let's assume he admits to prematurely blowing the whistle... Tennessee has the ball on the 25 yard line needing only a FG for the win.

Tennessee made big plays to win the game and Vanderbilt made bonehead plays to lose it.

A ref can screw up just like a receiver can drop a pass that is right in his hands or a QB can throw the ball to a lonely defensive back. Refs are human, the game is quick, and mistakes happen.

You are missing my piont. Of course refs make mistakes, but to think an interception was a catch by the receiver, a fumble and then a recovery by the defense is a HUGE miss. You have to be blind to miss it that bad.
