Valley locations from Sweetwater to Knoxville got anywhere from 8-12inches. This is a historic event just for that reason. Most areas had snowfall for 24 hours.

I’m sure they’ll do most of the state. I’m all about clean/renewable energy, but it actually needs to be in place before they shut down other sources. It’s absolutely idiotic.

I hope it gets restored for good soon. My road is still iced over and impossible to travel on, so I still can't get to work. Oak Ridge just doesn't care about treating residential roads even if they are just off the main turnpike.

* IMPACTS...Plan on slippery road conditions. The hazardous
conditions could impact the morning or evening commute.

Freezing rain is nasty stuff. Looks like we're in for some light ice accretion tonight across much of the state. It'll just make driving that much more difficult, so it's a good idea to stay off the roads tonight and tomorrow morning. If you must get out, check road conditions before you head out.



The mountains will get some more snow behind this system on Friday/Friday night.

I think the ice amounts will stay below warning level, but it will definitely continue to make travel hazardous this evening and tomorrow.

Definitely monitoring it as most place with heavy snowpack never got above 32•.
