D4H's 2017 Tennessee Vols Predictions

I enjoy the optimism.

But If we lose tomorrow night, how does that change your predictions? Will you chalk it up as a fluke or a sign of things to come?

Look for Alabama to dominate all season only to lose in the Plains to Auburn ala 2013. But since we have the playoffs now, Alabama will make it in as a non-champion.

2 conferences are gonna get left out this year. The ACC after claiming to be the best conference this off-season will fall flat on its this face this year. That began with Alabama beating Florida State. And will continue to with Tennessee dominating Georgia Tech and Auburn beating Clemson. The Pac 12 will also get left out once again. That's a very well balanced conference where you'll see teams beat each other up.

Loving the optimism! Weird thing is it is tougher to be over the top optimistic this year because so many unknowns... But we are deeper at many spots and had what I think ate good staff changes, I think are more unified and focused. The potential is there. Though am still in the 8-4 range.

It's still preseason...no better time for optimism! Take the Raid to the Jackets! Go Vols!

I see a flaw in this prediciction. You have Auburn at 11-2 overall and 7-1 in the west with loss to TN and LSU. Wouldn't that make thier SEC record 6-2 instead of 7-1 and Bama would win the west?

If Butch losses to Bama during the regular season, he should be fired!

What a freaking Nega D4H is!

I'm confused..... In the pick the score thread, you have UT 41-14, but in this masterpiece of prognostication, you have 38-7? Please correct so I can make a call to my bookie.

So the Vols squeak by a team that was destroyed by Mich and then beat Ala for the NC after they destroy Mich? makes sense!

Auburn will finish the regular season 11-1. Their second loss will be to us in the SEC title game. That loss doesn't go toward the conference record. During the regular season Auburn will finish the SEC schedule 7-1.

He was saying 1 regular season loss to LSU. The 2nd loss was to UT in the SEC championship game.

Stuff like that happens every year. Clemson sqeaked by Troy and NC State, lost Pittsburgh, and yet smashed Ohio State and beat Alabama.

Florida is a rivalry game. Regardless of record it's gonna be close. Same with Georgia. And for some reason we always play South Carolina close regardless of the records.

Figured I'd check in on the Vols before their opener. Glad to see this guy is still nuts. Also if we lose to Ole Miss I'm jumping off a bridge.
