As a fan base, will we like FL or GA?

One reason Fla fans seem arrogant is that on any given day some team of theirs is in the thick of a national championship hunt. Imagine what it would be like to be following your team that closely 365 days a year every year. Flame away, but their athletic department has achieved success on a completely different level across the board than almost any other program in the country. We should be so fortunate, though we seem to have the arrogance down pretty well already. Bulletin board material capital of the universe!

And just how many years ago is this, they have been in the same situation as our team since Meyer left. That is about ridiculous as our fans saying that because we won a natty off the 98 team, we can be as arrogant as gator fans act, yes, a Little bitter, have a few friends living in croc country now and have to hear about every year.

I'm only considering these schools because

A: they are in our conference
B: they attract similar talent/recruiting
C: fan base is very passionate

Florida hired a DC, never been a HC before to take the realms in 2011 after Urban Meyers. Muschamp got fired within his 4th season because of losing too many games.

Georgia hired a DC, never been a HC before to take the realms in 2016 after Mark Richt. Kirby smart is in his 3rd year and took his team to the NC game in his 2nd year.

So my question is... Tennessee hired a DC, never been a HC before to take the realms now. Was Butch Jones an Urban Meyer? No... Was he a Mark Richt? Not sure?..

So, what should our expectations be realistically to give Pruitt?

Pruitt's expectations are greater than 95% of fans, so we win be oik.

Just remember, if you took a snapshot of the Will Muschamp picture after his second year at UF, you had a much different picture of how he ended up. Muschamp was a fumble going in to score away from an undefeated regular season and SEC championship game appearance. Even with that one loss, he almost snuck in to the national title picture anyway, ended up playing in the Sugar Bowl instead. He followed that season up with an excellent recruiting class, #3 in the country. So his first two years at UF were very similar to Kirby’s first two at UGA.

So my point is, Kirby could still end like Muschamp although I must admit his recruiting has been ridiculously good.

I think he was referring to UF having national title contenders in multiple sports year round, whether or not our football team is competitive.

Must be nice to have an athletic department that’s serious about winning at sports. Ours has been “Just happy to be here y’all yuck yuck” for the last decade.
