I thought this as well, networks jump at the chance to televise a lsu game at night
I think the networks still pick the times of non-conference games though, not the schools.
And I could be wrong on this one, but I think CBS can only exercise the usage of the evening timeslot during the two (or three?) double-header weeks selected before the season starts.
But pretty much on with the rest of that post.
Probably not as much.. we arent usually the other contender in the west but we have our fair share of upsets over LSU.
Bama/LSU would probably be considered their biggest rivalry game.
Well it's also that - after CBS - the 2nd and 3rd selections are ESPN night games.
As good a team as LSU has been recently and as big of a draw as they've been, more times than not they're not going to fall too far in the weekly selections.
I think that's more recent though.
I mean hatred wise...that's more what rivals are based around, the bragging rights. Not whether or not both teams are competitive at the same level.

Which is in my opinion the reason we continue to lose to UF we know we are better something happens and we never recover
I'm not sure.. I know the LSU fans in northern Louisiana and into Arkansas sure do love to hate the Hogs..
It usually doesnt matter what Arkansas has done all season, the Hogs always seem to bring their A game to the LSU/Ark game.. regardless of where we play it
