They speak two languages fluently , which is one more than 80% of the adults crossing illegally from our southern boarder .They also have IDs, bank accounts , and a means to move around the country on their own dime without government assistance ... I say well done , welcome to America , thank you for doing it the right way .

The suspect is being held on a federal immigration detainer, according to officials.

The FAA issued a no fly zone in the area which will last until Wednesday morning. It prevents news choppers from flying overhead.

Illegal immigrant who committed multiple rapes after 2012 ICE detainer not enforced gets 80 years in prison

An Illinois judge on Monday slammed the officials who failed to enforce a 2012 ICE detainer on an illegal immigrant who later was able to beat and rape three women -- even though he "shouldn't have been in this country."

Miguel C. Luna, 37, a Mexican national who was living in Joliet, was given the maximum sentence of 80 years in prison on Monday after he admitted last May to the physical and sexual assaults of two women who were running on a state trail in separate incidents in 2015 and 2016. Luna also admitted to raping a third woman who has since died.

“You shouldn’t have been in this country,” Judge David Carlson said, according to the Chicago Tribute. “The system let the victims down in this case.”

The judge said he did not understand why Luna had not been deported in 2012 when a fugitive warrant for his arrest was issued by U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement.

“You were free to do these acts...whether through misguided political correctness or people who do not believe in laws or borders,” Carlson said. “One thing I can do with the sentence is show that the laws we believe in here, maybe this won’t happen again, maybe that’s a little bit of closure.”

During the trial against Luna, prosecutors argued the early-morning attacks on the women were premeditated and grew more sophisticated. They showed a videotaped confession in which Luna admitted to wearing surgical gloves, concealing his face and using a shirt to wipe blood off a victim’s arm to remove his fingerprints.

Prior to his sentencing, Luna said that he was traumatized by repeated childhood sexual abuse by family members.

I'm finding that Texas had 18,000 sexual assaults in 2011, so that would be 126,000 since 2011...that would mean barely 6% are committed by illegals (who make up 10% of the population).

Federal border patrol agents have found a suspected drug tunnel leading from Mexico to the kitchen of a former KFC in Arizona.

The tunnel ran from San Luis in southern Arizona across the border into San Luis Rio Colorado, less than a mile away. It is 22 feet deep, 5 feet tall, 3 feet wide and runs for 600ft into Mexico.

Agents believe the smugglers were using ropes to pull them along. Police discovered it after arresting the owner of the old KFC during a traffic stop.

On August 13, police in Arizona stopped Ivan Lopez and found 18 kilograms of methamphetamine, six grams of cocaine, three kilograms of fentanyl, 13 kilograms of white heroin and six kilograms of brown heroin in his truck.



The combined street value of the drugs is $1,165,800. The fentanyl alone was enough for three million doses.
