2017 Around the SEC Thread

No problem. Just gave them the opportunity to lose the first NCAA D1 game of the year.

The 9th was pretty interesting. VU had runners on 1st and 2nd, no outs with Kendall up. He popped the bunt up for a double play. San Diego then booted a ball to put runners on the corners, but their closer finished things with a K.

San Diego, CSF, and UC Santa Barbara were granted waivers by the NCAA to host their series a day early due to weather forecasts.

to be fair, this is supposedly the worst rain system to hit SoCal in years.

But to be less fair, everyone else would call such an event as a random "Thursday"

UGA has looked rough today. Down 10-1 to College of Charleston. They lost yesterday as well.

A&M put up 50 runs against Bolling Green this weekend. Just brutal. I don't know what BG's pitching looks like but it sure appears A&M has some offense.

With the 1st week officially in the books, 12 out of 14 SEC teams won their weekend series. UGA lost 2 of 3 to College of Charleston, and Kentucky was swept by #9 UNC, but was competitive for the most part.

Another example of why I hate their ass. How in the world did they play a day sooner than allowed? Just another example of the rules not applying to them.

Here's to 0-56 for the team above the rules.

They and several other west coast teams were granted permission by the NCAA, so that they weren't in danger of having to play two on Sunday and run into curfew issues.
