I'm all for it...I watched a video of him...he seems to have a really good arm....I agree that he needs to beef up a little bit though. I hope he signs :)

Remember all the extra media we received when Peyton was here b/c of his dad....well take that times 3 if we land this kid.

So here is the plan, we get Nick Montana here, then we grab Wayne Gretzkys son, Trevor (QB), in 2011 as well as Will Smiths son, Trey (WR) in the same year! (All from Oaks Christian)

Then we have 3 famous peoples kids and Neyland will become the new Staples Center with Will Smith, Joe Montana, and Wayne Gretzky on the sidelines...(I hear Jack Nicholson is putting in for floor seats at Thompson if this happens)

Why would this generate attention? His brother went to ND and nobody hardly noticed.

His brother WALKED ON at ND, knowing he probably wouldn't get any playing time. This guy is a top recruit and will go in start at the college level.

As a sophomore. Oaks Christian is no slouch. His stats aren't bad, but his completion percentage is pretty low.

I was talking about the older Montana brother now at Notre Dame. He went to De La Salle in Northern California when the family was still living up there. Granted they have one of the best programs in America and surely he could have started at another school, he never was the starting QB.

I see where you were going with it now, my bad. I had just read that Nick was the J.V. starter at De La Salle, so I figured you were talking about him.

I remember a couple of years ago Jim Rome talking to Joe he said that he would not pressure he on where to go.Then did not think we would have a chance, but now we have just a good shot as any body...

Can you just imagine the press clippings UT would get if they sign Montana?..As far as him being skinny, Peyton wasn't exactly hulk hogan when he arrived on campus either so He'll bulk up...Would be a big catch...The kid has the bloodlines and is actually a good QB if anybody has watched the film on him.

Sounds like we're in pretty good shape with this kid if we want him. CC sounds like he wouldn't mind seeing Montana at UT (wasn't sure before since a fulmer player) and that can't hurt our chances. I just don't know how excited to get about this guy. Anyone know just how highly thought of Montana is/will be?

I think we have a good shot here, Casey will push him our way and the O and Kiff combo will land him. I think it would be great pub to land Joe Montana's son!

That's a bit of a stretch. We haven't even offered him yet.

The staff is supposed to visit his school in the spring to evaluate him, though.

It wouldn't be great pub if he signed and never played. There are other QB's on our board afterall and he's at least 3rd/4th on the list so far.

I want to know if any of the Marino boys play quarterback. Dan has 3 sons---

Daniel Charles (b. 1986)
Michael Joseph (b. 1988)
Joseph Donald (b. 1989)

If they did and were any good, we would've heard of them by now.

No...None of Marino's boys were any good as football players...One of his sons is autistic and didn't play at all.
