The politics of International figure skating judging was overtly evident in the ice dancing results. Despite a flaw in their performance, the French pair was awarded gold, relegating the US pair to silver. Attempting to provide cover for the judges, a commentator suggested that the French “grade of execution” on other elements pushed them ahead of the flawless US performance.

So she's Canadian who used to compete for Denmark, but couldn't get citizenship, and competed for Canada in the last Olympics, but had to find a new partner after her old one was accused of sexual misconduct and was suspended
..... and he's been accused of being "mean" by his former gold medal winning partner, who (the old partner) was dismissed as an NBC sportscaster after his lawyer said there would be a conflict on her part..... yep they are a couple of real darlings

we just thought the transfer portal, NIL and officiating were making college sports a mess.
 
Since Heated Rivalry has become all the rage, can you look at the Canadian hockey team without snickering?
