I’m not a country boy and have nothing in common with the lyrics, but A Country Boy can Survive is probably my favorite Hank Jr. song. And The Conversation with Waylon.

That's why I'm in the Knoxville courthouse as the judge passes the sentence on me and it's 10 long years for statutory rape on the state penitentiary......

Knoxville Courthouse Blues is my favorite. If you count covers of his daddy's, Kaw-Liga is.

I may be the only wild-eyed country boy that has been thrown out of "TWO" Hank Jr. concerts. First time at 16yrs old for drunkenly fighting and the second about 10yrs ago at Smokie Stadium for dropping two bigheaded drunk Cocke county boys who started a big fight with the guy in front of me and it spilled over into myself and my sons.

LOL..... not sure about that, I just instinctively reacted when they spilled their BS into us, plowing into me and my school aged sons. The boys got a big kick out of it and promptly went home and told my wife that I palm struck one of them in the temple and he turned into a bowl of jello... "They excitedly re-enacted it while she was giving me the stink-eye and a full face-palm".
