Trayvon Martin was also surprised. You really should not talk as if other teenagers should make the same mistakes he made. Most of us are lucky we survived our youth, because most of us did a lot of really stupid things. Not many of us acted as stupid as Trayvon Martin and got shot to death. Zimmerman took a bad beating without even drawing his weapon. He obviously did not want to shoot that kid. Martin left him no choice.

I was actually referring to the tendencies that young men like TM have to fight authority.

The same tendencies that young men have had since "...and let there be light".


It actually does fit GZ, but that wasn't my intent.

They do have it, and thus my comment about lesson to be learned here.

There are pluses to thinking through things and not merely going on urges.

I mean I would hope people who aren't trained allow law enforcement to do their job.

Obviously there are circumstances where you need to step in but this was an overreaction based on stereotyping.

how about taking the lead detectives word, the neighbors word. how about taking the orginal prosecutors word. No, we take the word of a special prosecution, Al Sharpton, Jessie Jackson, and bad witnesses, and no evidence.

Lead detective recommended charges. Just not 2nd degree murder. He actually initially recommended 2nd degree then sought something less. I think manslaughter.

the detective that took the stand? he belived Zimmerman. I thought he was the lead dective I could be wrong?
