Further verifcation of the fact that he is making a strong case for being a draft pick some day. Since the Georgia game he has been our most consistent reciever and today he was our brightest spot on an otherwise not-so-good day for UT.

I said it in another thread, that Zach I believe has shown enough this year that it will earn him some money next year.

I honestly have no idea where he might get drafted, but I think its safe to say he will get drafted and that probably wasn't the case before the start of the year.

White Lightning has been one of the few bright spots of our season. He's quick as all get-outs, and he has now shown the ability to catch the dang ball. Best of wishes for his future.

There is too much talent on that team especially on the offensive side of the ball to be sitting at 3-5. You'd think they would luck up and win one against Fla, UGA, Miss St or USCjr. But, no.

Sucks, but we've been within a possession in all of those games except Florida, which looked good with 15 minutes left ... i know, "moral victories" but we lost to Kentucky last year for goodness sakes ... expectations should be quelled for the D to make a scheme change

D is right there too ... replace Moore with Coleman and we win 2 of those 4 at least

Flame on, Go Vols

btw, very proud of Rogers ... 2nd string receiving corp took advantage of opportunities all day; Dallas, Carter, Rogers ... proud of the Vols

I blame that one a the OC and HC for that, poor playcalling. How many times have we seen 3rd and short and we run chuck it deep?? Not to mention the overall philosophy, Chaney is a pass-happy coordinator, period. He always has been and he has to force himself to stick with the run game. That's why we let Florida get away. But what do i know...

I was with you until the "D is right there too". The D sucks. There is no excuse for that abortion of a defense out there right now. It's embarrassing. If Wilcox were still here, I'd say that they're sitting at 6-2 instead of 3-5.

Progress has been made, but they're still losing. Next year will not be better if Dooley is kept with a tougher schedule and losing a lot of talent off the offensive side of the ball.

Strange characteristic of these Vols I don't understand ... 2nd or 3rd and 1 ... chuck it deep - punt

Agree that without the scheme change, we're 7-1 or 6-2 ... just posted that in another thread ... would you disagree that we're 1 or 2 players away, in the secondary specifically, from having a much improved record?

IF we get Gruden, I'm all for it, but we still have to play Bama, Oregon, and the Gators all away next year ... no matter who the coach is, that's a tough break

No doubt, but with the right coaching staff in here, we have a puncher's chance against those teams. With Dooley we have as much chance as the punching bag does.

Zr has really done himself great this year. He had always been an excellent route runner with great speed and good size, but before he didn't have the strongest hands. He has definitely changed that perspective this season.

I think if Wilcox was still here, we'd be 6-2, 5-3 at worst. He was smart enough to be able to hide his weaknesses at times. We are slow at LB and specifically at the safety spot in covering the pass. Our safeties are getting flat out torched. Our Lb's can't cover the slant for anything. We miss Randolph and Lanier, but I think this team won't see much of an improvement next year in their record and they'll be playing a tougher schedule. There are 3 losses pretty much already built in no matter who is coach.

LB coverage has been suspect all year ... damn shame our D is where it is with our offense

He will land on an NFL team; especially after a combine workout.

Eric Decker, Brandon Stokley, Jordan Shipley, Mark Mariani, the receiver at Green Bay, All consistent, possession receivers who know the game and don't depend on pure athletic ability.
They can make a living in the NFL.

I see him going in the 2nd round , maybe 15th or so. He's got that Decker style, and works hard.
