Dead serious. Just looked up on the SEC website, and found out a little info on Slive. I see now why he thinks he so powerful......he was not only a lawyer, but an ex Judge. My experience is that Judge's think they are GODS.

That explains why he blew a gasket with CLK's comment about his reprimands (over publically referring to the poor officiating), and suddenly decided to give himself more power than he previously had.
I think CLK and Hamilton need to get on the horn with other coaches and AD's in the league, who have been affected by such egregious officiating, and confront Slive and let him know THEY run the show...he's just the central puppet...not the puppeteer.

Agree completely. I have had trouble letting this go for some reason and just put a finger on it this morning. The bylaw Slive refers to, 10.5.4, or whatever, was voted on and adopted by a rules committee, and put into place and enforced. With Slive arbitrarily changing those rules and adding suspensions and fines, he's in violation of his own bylaws and in effect, abusing his powers as commissioner. This has now become a p*****g contest for Slive, and goes way beyond the missed calls. He is singling out Kiffin, because of his views on the officiating. Gotta stop there, my blood is beginning to boil.

the change was enacted with the consent of all the AD's in the SEC and the University Presidents approval too.

You're right. I do remember now that being said. But, I also remember thinking, 'what was the presidents and AD's supposed to do, say no'? Maybe face some sort of sanctions, or fines if they hadn't agreed. I am dissappointed in Hamilton too for not coming out in support of CLK and say that he backs our coach, but will insure he makes no more comments about the officiating. It's absurd to me to think that someone can't speak out when he feels an injustice has been done.

Slime can't do anything to the ADs or university presidents for not supporting his power grab. They are the ones who run the conference, and Slime works for them. A majority vote of the presidents can overrule Slime. The fact that they all approved tells me that they all support him, even the ones whose teams have been affected by blown calls.

That's just it.......what president or AD can go against the other 11. I'm sure this approval was done one by one and not collectively. No one wanted to stand out.
