I am going to wait before I up it to All-American. I am still making the transition to playing football on the XBox controller. My '05 copy was for PS2, so playing the game feels completely different now.

I will eventually start up a dynasty and tell you all how it goes.

All-American is too easy in my opinion....Heisman is the real deal and much more fun, classic finishes for greatest games list.

Swain, Meachem, Hannon, and C.J. all kick ass on this game...I haven't even used Bret yet

I didn't have much problem with LSU early but they came back on me late. I am starting to see a common theme here in this game. I can stop the run and most mid to short passing but teams are getting yardage on me throwing the bomb down the field. It's crazy.

Yeah, all teams have to do is bomb it out on you and most of the time even terrible teams will pull it down. This has happened to me twice now and I've nearly lost two games because my pass d's AI can't stop it. Once against Kentucky while I was playing as Tennessee, and again when I was playing as Oregon State against PORTLAND STATE. Jebus :shakehead:

Do what I do. If you are playing with Tennessee (which I know you're probably not PAC MAN) Pick the 4-4 defense in a Cover 2 or 3, select Gaither, line him up about 2 men over from Parys and blitz off that corner and scare/kill the QB!

It has worked like a charm for me on most of the deep passes.

There's a reason XBox sales don't even begin to compare to PS2 sales. :p

XBox does football games and shooters better. Playstation 2 does everything else better.

You mean they make OTHER games for these things besides HALO and football?!?!?!?! :laugh1: EA's MLB game is really nice on the XBOX too... and Forza kills Gran Tourismo.

Well I went 13-0 and won the National Championship, a win over Ohio St in the Rose Bowl. I liked how the season progressed. I was able to move my scrambling QB up to an impact player in his second season. I had just over 2,000 passing and 1,000 rushing for him in season one. Ainge apparently transfered, because he is no longer on the team. Crompton is this year's backup. Anyway, one of the coolest things was that in season two, it had the correct schedule. We start off with Cal and so on. I thought that was neat because I was expecting the home and homes to just flip back and forth with the same ole teams. I also liked how the girlfriend's pics kept changing. I'm on my fourth one since I've been there.....I'm such a ho! LOL

I think a big reason that xbox sales don't compare to ps2 sales is that the ps2 came out eariler and it was a natural upgrade for ps1, it would even play those games. Many people who already had a ps2 didn't see the xbox as a big enough upgrade at that time. Now the xbox will be the first of the next generation systems to come out. I think they will really make up some ground by the time it's all said and done. We'll see.

I think a system's release date does have a big part to do with its success, but not quite that much. Unless you're talking about a complete misfire like the Dreamcast. The thing that has the PS2 beating the XBox is software development. For well over XBox's first year, Halo was literally the only thing keeping the system above water, and that's even still somewhat the case. If XBox plans to truly compete with Sony on any level, they're going to have to figure out a way to get support of the Japanese game developers (not consumers -- game developers). US and UK developers can provide occassional hits but the Japanese game makers have been known for providing a steady stream of consistent success.

As for GT4 vs. Forza... I rented Forza for nearly a month, and have played both it and GT4 extensively. GT4 doesn't blow it out of the water but it is much better. Gran Turismo has better graphics (car damage be damned), better physics, better controls, and is far more challening.
