There were three men named Broyles killed at the Alamo. We assume they came with Crocket, as there are a lot of Broyles in the area where he was born.

all seriousness i like to consider myself a mut. on my moms side it's Irish and Italian, as far as my dad's side they just get w/ anything. His side I'm British, German, and Chickasaw Indian. Which many believe they have some mexican blood in them. I guess that makes sense, my yard looks great, i can mow a mean yard. and i've always liked putting feathers in my headband

Thats awesome! My family is tied to the Doyles in Middelton Tennesee. That is my connection on my mother's side.

I think they were Irish and my Dad's side were French Cajun. We're a drinkin group. It comes with Catholisism.

Irish, German and English. Ancestors came from England on dad's side in the 1700s to North Carolina and moved west through the state of Tennessee until they hit Memphis and stopped.

pm brian mccat from this board. He is an expert at geneology, he helped me out with very good information. Too good actually, sometimes you find out stuff you didnt want to know.

Dad's from Knoxville and his parents moved up from Forsyth county in Georgia. Mom is Bavarian, German. Redneck from on sides of the ocean.

My pops allways told me I had a little dumbass in me ( I dont know where that is ) , but as I got older he said it was my moms Polish heritage shining through. When he said shining I was really proud to be Polish :clapping:

My mom's side is entirely German that I know of (probably Bavarian; they emigrated in the early 1800's). My dad was adopted and had his name changed when he was 18. Has no idea of his heritage. From the features and natural skin tone, Mediterranean is probably likely.

Makes my pigmentation fun. I'm very white in the winter and very tan in the summer. Kind of strange.

And in thanks, ole' John Bell gave us moments such as Peachtree Creek, Spring Hill, and Franklin. Not his fault, he was nearly too strung out on painkillers from the wounds at Gettysburg and Chickamauga to sit in a saddle without help, let alone command an Army. Jeff Davis deserves the hit to taking the reins away from Joe Johnston.
