eh. doesnt' matter who you wanted. he's the one that got hired to fix it. that's the equity he has. and by slowing down to go faster, what that really means is "let's do it right the first time....so we don't have to do it over again later".Yeah. Slowing down isn't building equity for someone who walked in the door without any. The only good thing I can say right now about our HFC is that he isn't Greg Schiano. That's it. He needs to win the fanbase over although he seems to think that we're all gonna bow down and kiss the ring as if he was King Saban's prince. There is still a very slim chance to exceed reasonable expectations this year. He needs to do it.
MWA was speaking for himself on the Kiffin thing. I don’t think Kiffin is a good HC based on his time in Oakland and at USC. He’s not terrible but he didn’t win at USC so why would I think he will here? Anyway, Fulmer did seem to have his guy quickly but I wonder if all the other stuff hadn’t happened would he have still gone straight to Pruitt or not? But ultimately it doesn’t matter. We have our coach. End of story. All that and you didn’t name 26 who turned us down...you exaggerated. There were two coaching searches. Currie’s was a train wreck. Fulmer QUICKLY identified the type of coach he felt suited the program and QUICKLY hired him off a short list. End of the NARRATIVE I give a crap about.

All the ridiculous questioning of our coach gets really old, but some people seem to have nothing else to do.
I believe we have the right coach with a good staff. I see improvement, and am confident we will be great again, but it does take a little time to get past the mess we were in.
And the questions about hiring a proven coach can only be answered by taking a look at all the programs which hired new coaches recently, and to see where they are today. Glad we didn't get any of them.
The hard part is having to see all the bashing until our program is turned around (I believe sooner than later), and then seeing those same naysayers jumping on the bandwagon as if they had been on it the whole time.
Go Vols!!

they definitely wont' get to much leeway if it's constant 'rebuild' under the new staff. so do it right now. so when we get to next year, we can hit the ground running and not have to redo this all over again.
What does that have to do with kissing royal **** rings or whatever the **** you’re talking about? That was for attendance supporting the TEAM, not him personally. Are you even pretending to attempt having a valid point anymore?Guess you missed the part where he whined about Spring Game attendance?
Who cares? We demand a winning program, he’s trying to deliver that. He wants us to do our part too. If a recruit comes to the spring game and sees Neyland half empty, then in what way are we separating ourselves from the other schools to become elite?? Who cares if Pruitt called out the fan base. He should call out all the people that bi*** and moan about everything, and find a problem with Everything. We have a real coach who knows what a successful program looks like. He wants everyone involved to do there part so it will actually start to look that way.Guess you missed the part where he whined about Spring Game attendance?
