They aren't good and are damn lucky to be where they are. They shouldn't be ranked after being taken to the woodshed this past weekend.

If we beat Georgia and find a win in College Station I doubt that we will have enough in the tank to beat Alabama. Two road games one at arguably the loudest stadium in all of college football and then return home to face the #1 team. It doesent look good but The Vols will be ready.

But the way we start against lesser team's is what they look at. The smack down we put on Florida in the second half. We should have done all game long against app st and Ohio.

Rankinks are pointless until the end of October. If the Vols are still undefeated by then they will certainly be ranked in the top 4.

I agree Florida isn't bad defensively, but they aren't that good either. They got a big head and gave up, I feel. Had UT not started like crap and Florida not have given up, it would have been more of an even performance from both sides and both fanbases would be feelingbetter about the loss.

Doesn't really matter at this point.

There are three games this weekend pitting top ten teams playing each other.

Beyond that we have aTm and Bama.

If we keep winning, the polls will sort themselves out.

I don't disagree but there aren't many teams we could legitimately be higher than, and the next three games decide if it would stick anyway.

With a win this week UT will move up at least 3 spots due to the fact there are 3 top 10 match ups.

I'm not sure what you mean by that.

Emotionally, I think they get up every week. The emotional crash to be concerned about would be after Bama if UT didn't have a bye followed by some pretty weak opponents.

Physically the next 3 weeks could beat UT up some. OTOH, some guys like Thomas and DKjr will be getting healthier. Not sure about JRM but if he can heal during the season then time only helps.

The bad news is the injuries have happened to the wrong guys. The good news is there haven't been that many injuries so far.

I don't think there should even be polls until 4-5 games have been played. If we take care of business Saturday, we'll be top 8, and that's about right.

I agree with this. Polls this time of year are for us. Gives us something to talk about. A win against a ranked team on the road is a good win. Just handle business, like you said.

All that really matters poll wise is when the playoff polls start coming out.

UGA is horrible, and with Chubbs likely to not play, it doesn't look good for the Dawgs.

UT will roll this weekend, and y'all will be in the Top 10.

As for us. We'll LSU may not win 5 games this year. Good luck to y'all.
