Everyone wants the team to succeed. That is not the debate. The debate is whether Butch is the right coach for the job. Questioning a coach's skills and decision-making is not anti-team. Please stop confusing the two.

I'm not confusing anything. He has done a good job and we all know he isn't leaving anytime soon so it makes no sense in non-stop badmouthing the coach. The team knows they dropped two games they should have won. My point is you people are like a self fulfilling prophecy - keep saying Butch sucks then recruits and coaches don't want to come here. Then when he doesn't win the Negavols cheer and say "I told you so Butch couldn't win here". Then maybe we will get a worse team and coach and Negavols can fuss non-stop which is a dream come true for the Negavols.

99% aren't coherent arguments and consist of mainly that we lost to Vanderbilt and USC therefore fire Butch he's an arrogant, proud, liar, dumb, mid major, a joke, stupid, can't coach, used car salesman, snake oil salesman, cliche machine, lost the team, in over his head coach. Ive seen your posts and many others. You can get away with this stuff online but out here in the real world, around people that know football, you wouldn't without being challenged.

I think some people honestly believe that. Saban sent his OC packing the week before the championship game. I have been critical of CBJ but I feel like I need to back off a little. I just really want him to do good here but I feel like he is trying to please to many people or players (hurd). I hope he surprises us all but until he stands his ground and we have some leadership in the AD things don't look good.

AMEN, BROTHER!!:thumbsup:There is nothing wrong with 9-4! How many programs would love to be 9-4? It is the mark of a fabulous football program, and we've did it TWO STRAIGHT SEASONS!! And we've won three straight bowl games! How can anybody be disappointed?
Butch is the best coach we could possibly get! To go against him is to go against the University of Tennessee!! If it wasn't for you NegaVols, we would be out recruiting Saban! So go to another team if you don't like our fine coach! :dance2:

Be consistently ranked in top 15 and in the hunt for the SEC East. In the last two years, we have been ranked in top 10 and in hunt but just need to take next step of staying ranked and to title game.

This could've been posted on the UGA board following Jim Donnan's 4th season there.....

A little historical perspective after the legendary career of Dooley......

Hired Ray Goof....incredible recruiter...lousy game-day coach....followed that with a Donnan hire thinking his history of success at Marshall would translate into SEC success----NOT!!!

No one WANTED Donnan to fail any more than they wanted Goof to fail....but he just couldn't compete with the elite in the SEC....

Hired Richt away from perennial power FSU and Bobby Bowden.....FSU begins a slow decline after Richt's departure and UGA begins an ascent into SEC East dominance--except for his 5-11 record against Fla...and his 10-6 record against the VOLS....

Sound familiar???

I personally think CBJ is our Donnan....I and everyone else that I know desperately want him to succeed....but he just hasn't proven on the field that he can compete with the elite in the SEC...

And the SEC East was a LOT TOUGHER when Donnan coached at UGA than it is right now.....

This is true. Man just think if we could have played ANY D fense at all we could have had 10- 11 wins this year. That is the part that makes a person want to bang their head against the wall. Offense finally does a great job and 40 points still isn't a enough to win. WOW!!

Agreed. Should've happened this year. Definitely gotta exceed expectations this year to get back on track. Another disappointing season like this year and last and I think his job is definitely in jeopardy.

Being in "the hunt" for a bad division "championship" when you're the overwhelming favorite to win it just isn't enough imo. Gotta win it. We just wasted our head start over Georgia, Florida and South Carolina and it appears they're making up ground on us/closing the gap.
