I know what you mean, but it's a huge deal for some parents to take their kids to a game like that.. my son is 30 and he still remembers going to Neyland and seeing Tennessee beat the Pillsbury Throwboy and the Mildcats when he was a 4th grader....Hate to say it, but I question the judgement of parents who would bring a child to that game. Definitely not a family atmosphere.
Achieve something on your own, and trade in your football action figures for a life.
I'm sure OM knew it was the only way they could keep from getting steamrolled and it will happen in the rest of our games this season. Why wouldn't it? No penalty for it.Honestly, I believe the flop fest pissed people off more than the refs. I know that was what did it for me. In my 50 years watching football, I've never seen anything like it. I know it will never happen, but Sankey needs to have a prayer meeting with Lane about that crap.
Also, I'm not defending what happened, but I can see why it happened.
Same for me. In fact, I remember my dad getting onto some guys at the orange & white game for their language when sitting behind my sister and I (both under 10). They apologized and cleaned it up.And it's a shame that we've come to this. My parents brought me to games from the age of seven, and I encountered nothing worse than some cursing.
Should have left that last part out or taken it up in the politics forum. Surprised you were unable to work in BLM protests in your novella.I hear you. I didn’t like the refereeing last night or fifteen years of terrible hires either. I just don’t plan to shoot up the post office or storm the capitol over it.
Considering it happened mostly later into the game, in which we were down 97% of the time, I don't think it was the fear of getting steamrolled as much as it was as being beaten in the final minutes of the game.I'm sure OM knew it was the only way they could keep from getting steamrolled and it will happen in the rest of our games this season. Why wouldn't it? No penalty for it.
