I'll hold out for Spurrier.I also think the only way Fulmer goes is finishing 500 with one of the loses being Vanderbilt. Other than that Chavis will be gone and Fulmer remains.Fulmer is the architect of buying time it appears.
The Pete Carroll thing alone proves the post is just some idiot running off at the mouth. He has probably the best coaching job in the country, makes plenty of dough and the place sells itself to recruits. Why on Earth would he move from LA to Knoxville over stadium upgrades!?
Absurd.
Maybe for the opportunity to compete against the best coaches in the best conference in the country. Pete has won how many NC's?...and Nick Saban is on the cover of Fortune??? I think Pete would strongly consider coaching in the SEC.
I don't. For some reason I don't see him recruiting well. Must be my predisposition to dislike slobber.

He's unlike the others in being proven in the League. His skills fit well there, so if he comes back, he's the hardest of all to imagine coming to UT, for me. I'd see him going back to the NFL for major $$.
Davis is proven in the college game and that's a lot of what I like about him as well.
Caroll would recruit beyond any level we've ever seen and we once were great in recruiting.
I think Caroll would recruit well but I don't believe he would have as much success here as the classes he brings to USC. There are alot more schools around here that play real football. He basicly has the whole west coast to pick and choose from now.
That being said I would love to see Pete Caroll in orange and white. But the reality of it is it aint going to happen.
