The Oklahoma loss is the one that will sting for years.

We lost to the best coach in the game in Kirby and lost in Tuscaloosa where we haven’t won in 22 years.

But that Oklahoma loss turned into us losing in Neyland to a team other than Georgia for the first time in 4 years and effectively ended our season. Venables was literally an inch away from the hot seat and ending the season at 7-5 with a loss there.
Oklahoma is winning games off guile and mucking the game up. Not sustainable like what Heupel has built at Tennessee with the offense.

Trash brand of football OU plays.
We should have beaten them 49- 21

The UGA game -if we're being honest - was close off of MIRACLE plays from Brazzell. Two bombs where JA just threw it up and he made two outstanding football plays. Bama

Bama game was on the coaches 100%.
OU was just Tennessee folding like a deck of cards for no reason other than bad culture. Boo and his trash. Injuries and players NOT try to play. (Thanks for nothing McCoy)

Regardless of what happens, let’s finish strong and get another trophy even if it’s from a bowl outside of the playoff. This has been an irritating year, so close with wins and losses, but it’s still been a decent one. We ended the swamp curse, so that is definitely a positive take from this season.
I want citrus v perennially overrated Michigan.

I think it’s unfair to criticize Jermod. He tore his ACL and plays the most demanding position on the field when it comes to running/cutting against these freak WRs these days.

He’s going to be a first rounder and if any of us were in his position, he has more to lose than gain trying to come back if he doesn’t 100% trust his knee 🤷🏾‍♂️

Let’s just beat the commadorks next week! I hate we’re missing the playoff but it could be way worse. I saw this morning that one predictor has us playing Miami in the gator bowl that sounds pretty fun! We haven’t played Miami since 2003. Another predictor has us playing Virginia and that just sounds boring.

Idk man. Heupel was 9-2 in one score games 2022-2025 leading into OU game. So many things pointed to us being able to win that one. That’s the one keeping us out of the CFP

True, but you have to admit we froze our own kicker and lost the Georgia game because of it. Our kicker still hasn’t recovered from that and may never be the same. We gave the Bama game away with turnovers and we screwed up the Oklahoma game with poor turnovers and very poor tackling. It is not folly to believe we should be undefeated and ranked #1 in the Country. However we did do those things and we are in a position to show everyone we are still a top 10 team. I was confident we would win last night and I am confident we will win Saturday. If we play Miami in a bowl game, we will win it also.

They should just put us at 12th

Playing with a defense that travels every single week isn’t sustainable? No one needs to even see stats to see that OU is hands down the best defense in the SEC if not the country.

1. Probable - Utah looked vulnerable
2. Check
3. Check
4. NO - UM is Ryan Day's albatross
5. NO - As good as Pitt looked, they aren't beating Miami
6. NO - BYU is much, much, much better
7. Check
8. NO - Stanford stinks

That be us beating Vandy and 2 teams ahead of us losing. We likely start the week at 17, so this would move us up to about 14.

Now, tOSU wins and Pitt shows up again that may lift us 2 more to 12th.

We would need miracles by UCF and Stanford...otherwise we end up 1st team out.
I'm not going to predict a Pitt win, but it's possible. This Miami team is odd. They can beat or lose to a wide range of teams. Look at that Louisville team they lost to...they'll be lucky to get a win against Kentucky Saturday.

Should have never lost the Oklahoma game.
Oklahoma is hot right now. It’s unfortunate and no we shouldn’t have lost. Same for the GA game. The fact we are so close make me feel like this program is truly on the verge of one more breakthrough. A little more depth, one more step in the right direction… dare I say.. brick by brick Heupel is building this program to be exactly what it is supposed to be.

If we could play last night like we did in the first half this entire season for 60 minutes every game we would be undefeated lol. This team has it in them but stupid penalties and turnovers get in the way.
I thought the same thing. That team last night could hang with anyone , but then I wondered if Florida being a really bad team had anything to do with that. On their first drive of the game they threw a long pass ( it was later called back for holding call ) , but their receiver juked around 3 players before being brought down. After that play, Florida didn't seem to recover.
