Saints Row 4 + Gat Out of Hell package is a fun time for $19.99 - It's like Crackdown meets South Park.

Shadow of Mordor and Far Cry 4 are like $20-24 and both are worth every penny, even if FC4 is more like FC3.5

The Walking Dead seasons 1&2 are incredible, if you haven't played them yet. And the Game of Thrones season 1 is pretty good as well, if you enjoy the books and TV show.

Diablo 3 Ultimate Evil Edition was pretty fun and Outlast was terrifying.

State or Decay is a GTA+Walking Dead game with perma-death. I loved it on 360 and this version comes with all of the DLC.

I really liked state of decay and played it a lot when it came out on the 360. My only complaint with it was if something happened where you couldn't play it for a day or two when you started playing again everybody would be dead or hurt and your safe house would be wrecked

Yeah I noticed that too back when it came out. I feel like they eased off of that through patches because I haven't had near the strict experience as I had at first.

Is there anything besides a story? Any replay value at all?

Funny I remember when a game had replay value, it meant that it was so much fun you wanted to play it over and over again, even after you beat it.

I'm not calling you out specifically Sith, it's just more of an observation. Why did that mentality change? Why do we ONLY look at something like multiplayer as being the only thing that qualifies as replay value? I remember playing games like Super Mario 3, Castlevania, Super Metroid, Sonic, Resident Evil, Metal Gear Solid, etc and beating them over and over because they were a blast to play through. Are games on their own just not that much fun anymore?

Good question. I used to play the old James Bond games on PS2 multiple times without ever getting bored. Now I can barely finish games without getting bored and wanting to move on.

Yep, it's weird. Instant gratification world now with smaller attention spans. I find myself doing the same thing. I can barely play any game twice these days. I've only beat the Souls games and Fallout 3 more than once, now that I think about it. I know I played Chrono Trigger, Link to the Past, Final Fantasy 7, Resident Evil 2, Symphony of the Night, Ocarina of Time, and many others 10+ times each back in the 90s.

I would imagine part of it is we are now grown up and have plenty of other stuff to tend to. Kids didn't have anything to do and just played games because it's fun. Plus, you probably couldn't afford/get many games so you wore out the ones you had/rented/borrowed from friends.

I remember going to Green Acres flea market with Dad every couple of weeks hoping to find some new nintendo games. One or two sellers usually had a dozen or so to pick from. That's where I got the first Mega Man.

I understand that busy lives play a factor. However listen to what they're saying. It's not only the time factor that's at play here. It's the want to. It's not having the DESIRE to go back and do repeat plays on games they've beaten.

Possibly less games released back then and less priority was put on buying games, so you wore out what you had. Nowadays there's more games out there than I could ever buy.
