I am so sick of re-mastered games.
In some cases I like it because it gives people who didn't own the earlier consoles a chance to play the game.
But I don't like when it's a game that isn't that old and they sell the "remastered" game for the full $60. The Last of Us and GTA V are ridiculous to me because they're only a year or so old and because there is no backwards compatibility they sell it to us again.
Any of you guys have recommendations for a cable modem/router setup that either gives you an Open NAT straight out of the box or that you've been able to SIMPLY configure and could walk me through setting up as well? I've been through two different ISP's and 4-5 different modem/router combos, and the best I have ever done is get it to Moderate NAT, but for the most part it's always Strict.
Not having Open NAT makes it effectively impossible to party up with friends, and I've already got $500+ invested in the Xbox One, so I'm pretty well willing to spend what it takes to get the equipment I need to get it all working properly, I'm just tired of throwing money at different stuff and none of it EVER, EVER seems to work.
What router do you have now? The most sure fire way to accomplish this is set up a static IP for your Xbox and put that address as the DMZ of your router.Any of you guys have recommendations for a cable modem/router setup that either gives you an Open NAT straight out of the box or that you've been able to SIMPLY configure and could walk me through setting up as well? WAAAAAAY over my head.
I have Comcast as my provider right now, and have a Motorola SurfBoard modem and a Belkin n300 router. I've never even been able to get this combo to Moderate, much less Open. The other day I went so far as to flat out turn the firewall off, and still have Strict NAT.
It's not as difficult as it sounds. I'll look online for the user guide for your router.
Posting this here for reference. I'll explain later. DMZ is on page 70.
