Does anyone else find it hilarious that they were using an Nvida GPU, Intel CPU, and Windows 7? That's totally the opposite of what's in the XBOX One(AMD CPU, AMD GPU, and Windows 8). Off topic but does Windows 8 suck so bad not even Microsoft themselves use it? Anyway, a lot of game developers showcase their games on a PC, it's nothing new or negative.

Then you tell me why you think it's 100.00 more! Is it because the hardware inside is more sophisticated than PS4's hardware? Nope! PS4 has faster GDDR5 RAM, a superior graphics chip, and a higher clock speed on the CPU. On paper, the PS4 has the more powerful hardware (now whether that will translate into noticeably better looking games is anyone's guess). The ONLY real difference between the 2 is the inclusion of the Kinect camera. That has to be the reason why it's 100.00 more. Otherwise the higher price tag is completely unjustifiable.

so you want me to justify my opinion when you can't justify what you claim as fact? my opinion is that Ms decided on this price point because they thought they could sell them at 499 then Sony decided to sell theirs for less, that's Microsoft's bad. OR it could be that flashy MS label on the Xbox that Sony doesn't have, since that's what we're basing it on, differences.

I think it's very reasonable to conclude that if the Xbone package didn't come with the mandatory kinect, that the price point would be 100 less......just my opinion.

which was my point cat, opinion versus stated cold hard facts. i'm not saying it's an unreasonable assumption. 360s with the kinect are about $100 more than a 360 without but those generally come with a game or two also

With current gen, if you purchased just a kinect, it would run you 125.00 without a game.........unless Im mistaken.

I understand perfectly the difference between opinion and fact. However some things are just so obvious that it's not really open to interpretation. You take away Kinect, that system sells 100.00 cheaper!

I tried but it had a very short life span, but now my daughter wants to play because they are "talking about" it at school. She is only 7 and I am slowly turning her into a gamer. :)

She is excited about Disney Infinity that is releasing in August.

i've got the same problem. she did get it for her ipod and plays it more than i could ever stand and when i would go eat lunch with her they would have little nerd huddles talking about minecraft

I see people playing it all the time on my friends list......I was only able to play it for 10 minutes before it bored the **** out of me.

Rumor spreading that Microsoft will announce later today they're dropping the restrictive DRM and online check-in for the Xbox One. *If* true that would be a HUGE win for consumer rights.

Have to wonder if its not just the badly lagging pre-order numbers but third party pressure now, where their games would have been more valuable on the PS4 than the One (as I explained in my article over the weekend).

Essentially the One then would still be $100 more expensive than the PS4 but wouldn't have all the drawbacks, and it would be easier to explain that $100 difference with features relating to TV and NFL deal.

Appears to be official now. Huge win for consumers.

Wonder how this will affect their family sharing/etc. plans.
