Xbox One

Yes it does. I also think things load slower than on the PS4. And I actually prefer the simplistic/barebones interface over the One, jmo though.

I like the PS4 interface better so far, just because I don't know much about the one's. I do love the voice commands to change channels and switch from tv to gaming. Also, Forza is so good and I have never been a racing fan. Ready to see what Titanfall is all about.

The PS4 will still be my main gaming console for multiplatform games.

Made the switch from the PS4. Love it so far but I had a 360 before so it makes sense. I have to agree I was a little surprised by how slow it takes to download stuff. But I do like the layout better than on the PS4.

My only gripe with the interface on the XBone is that they've made it really difficult to see which of your friends are online. On the 360 it always flashed a notification when a friend came online, and those are now gone. Also, you used be able to access your friends list by hitting the center button, but as best I've figured out so far you have to completely exit your game or stop watching TV/movies to look at it now.

Good news....login notifications return in the next update coming out sometime real soon. I think they've worked on your friends list, as well, making it easier to get to.

Saw this deal on a website. Walmart is selling the Titanfall Xbox One bundle for $449.96 today only. Thought I'd share for anyone interested.

The fact they took an interface, which worked well and was a huge advantage over Sony, tells you a lot about how clueless Microsoft is. Not to mention lack of a gaming headset option for three months.

The XB1 has been a colossal fail thus far in my opinion.

Wii U numbers if that had happened. Or worse. Man, it would have a been a disaster.

Their snarky attitude in defense of always on & DRM policies was what turned me off of considering buying one, even after they backtracked on it.

It sounds like I bought the right console though.

It is the future, but lucky for consumers, Sony decided to continue the old ways a bit longer.

We'll see the first real attempt when Steam boxes start coming out. It's pretty much the same setup MS wanted to use. Steam does have an advantage. A customer base that has already decided Steam's DRM is manageable and they are great at pricing and specials. MS has no record of any sales or aggressive pricing like Steam. X1 customers would have been a slave to their pricing if it had happened. And the past shows they haven't been very good.

Picked up my titanfall bundle today. Will take a lot of getting used to not sure how I feel about it yet. But the console is great!

Here's the dilemma for console manufacturers going all digital. MS, Sony, and Nintendo all need retailers to sell their consoles. The problem is that hardware is sold at cost. The retailer makes no money whatsoever on the sale of hardware. They need to sell software to subsidize the lack of profits from the sale of the console. Without the ability to sell software with the console, what incentive do retailers have to sell the console?

I can't disagree, the PS4 has been vastly superior.

The VCR look of the system is awful and the interface is beyond terrible. For the life of me I can't believe either made it to the final product.

For now, but not forever. High overhead brick and mortar stores are largely on their way out in favor of cheaper, more efficient online retail. It makes sense that all the console manufacturers would eventually want to get to a place where they are selling their consoles online directly to their consumers, and selling digital copies of games as opposed to physical discs in boxes only serves to increase their profits. It's coming, MS saw it, and I'm sure Sony sees it too. It just wasn't time yet.

99.9% of the time, having my DirecTV hooked up through my Xbone is absolutely awesome. This morning, when I'm wanting to watch something and I have to wait through a 1.5 GB update download, it's pretty effing annoying.

When I ran my Uverse through it I would have no issues for about a week and then the signal would start going in and out. And whenever HD wasn't available, it would lock up and not display the SD channel. After a while just became more of a hassle to use than just hooking my cable box up straight through the tv.

Saw Amazon is also doing the Titanfall bundle for $450. Just use the code X1AMAZON.
