Really sucks that Punk's talent will be wasted on Kane for the next few months, culminating in a predictable win at Mania. The real question is who will win the Elimination Chamber. Batista won't be facing Cena or Orton. I think the titles split back up at Elimination Chamber.

From a technical standpoint, it probably would be a train wreck of a match, but I was hoping that during Lesnar's beatdown of Big Show, the lights would dim and we'd hear the bells and see the smoke....setting up nicely for WrestleMania.

My WM card prediction

Batista vs Orton

Lesnar vs Taker

Punk vs HHH

Bryan vs Sheamus

Cena vs Wyatt

Ultimate Warrior vs Ryback In a 3 minute squash

Taker needs someone that can carry him, like Trips or Punk. No way does he face Lesnar.

It's as good as it ever was IMO. If you go back and look at the production values especially of wcw back in the day, there's no comparison.

No way.

I haven't watched in months. I'm not sure anything could bring me back now. I usually will get back into from Rumble-Mania.

You should start watching. The rivalries are good right now and there's some actual talent floating around. Didn't watch last night though and the comments seem to be bad.

In the event that this happens again, do they try and erase the history of this match like they did with Taker and HHH, or do they routinely reference it as the shortest title match in Mania history?

I got nothing.

I won our Random Royal Rumble pool, but was so absolutely disgusted with that show I didn't care. Writers/bookers are so tone deaf its amazing.

As has already been said, the crowd made the show. Totally crapping on the Orton/Cena match, and the same old used up schtick during the Rumble (Rey, midget bull, punk going an hour then getting dumped, etc) made it tolerable.

Mick Foley's ("They must hate their audience...") and Jeff Jarrett's (know your audience, win them one fan at a time...) tweets where the best reaction I saw.

I don't see any way they go to Mania with what's laid out. Mania is always has a large chunk of smart fans that will absolutely savage something like Orton/Batista and Bryan being stuck with Shemaus.

Vince isn't stupid. They'll use all this Bruan face heat for something. He's got to e her be in the main event, facing Taker or something big.

...and they've got to do something with Cena and Orton's characters. Stale doesn't begin to describe them.

I've reached the point I don't think they'll ever turn Cena. I don't know if its his merch numbers or what, but they seem terrified of even considering it. I don't have a clue how you'd change him.

I don't know what you do with Orton. Its a step down, but he seems suited for a henchman/lackey/attack dog role. Seems like he's lost the heel heat and fans are just indifferent.

This is why I hope the belts are unified for good. Put some shine back on the IC and US belts, coupled with the stronger tag division their building and you could have some decent shows.

IMO, about the only way you could turn Cena heel is to have him turn on Daniel Bryan and cost him the title at some point, while aligning himself with HHH and crew. That would be pretty close to Hulk Hogan joining the NWO.

Makes sense enough. It would be an entertaining angle but I wonder if they'd ever really do it.

I'm very interested to see where these next few weeks/months go.

Its looking more and more like the masses are finally (!) fed up with what they've been getting and I'm interested to see if they'll make real changes.

At first glance that sounds cool. But it would actually prolly end up being a lose-lose situation. Either people would be disappointed that the streak finally ended, or people would take a massive dump all over Taker for beating their hero.

I LOVED the thrashing the crowd gave them last night. Brilliant crowd.

Tonight, during Batista's segment, the crowd either needs to turn their back to him, or pick up newspapers and magazines and totally ignore him. The absolute best thing to happen would be for them to leave the arena. Vince would be completely apauled at the sight of an empty crowd on TV.

Apparantly, Punk walked out of Raw Monday and has been removed from all advertising and future shows.

Evidently he told Vince to F off and that "he was going home."

Question is whether this is real or some super story. All signs point to the former right now though.

Most likely its real. If it were a work it just wouldn't jive. It sucks, but I honestly can't blame him, when you got Batista headlinin WM and the Old Age Outlaws with the tag belts. Lot of stuff just reaks of HHH.

Punk also doesn't want Sting in WWE because of his age, and he's kinda got a point.

Cry Baby Punk, imo
