I can understand your point.

I just have zero trust that they'll stay with what they're doing and instead launch Wade Barrett, Big E, etc.

I hope we're pleasantly surprised.

Launch Wade Barrett and get rid of Bad News Barrett? No way!

/sarcasm, wtf is Bad News Barrett?

Even now, Show and Lesnar are just sideshows. Look at the main eventers. You have Orton, Cena, Punk and Bryan (despite all the keeping him down hype, Bryan is still biggest draw right now and Vince and HHH know it). Not one of them fit the traditional Vince giant/roid freak. The Usos are getting major play and no one from the Wyatts fit that mold either. Yeah, they just brought back Batista, but Vince isn't as adamant about making a giant roid freak be the main event. I mean I'm quite interested in how the Big Show-Lesnar feud pans out, but just as a side show like it is.

Ramble complete.

I don't think Bryan's the biggest draw in WWE. He's as over with the live crowd as anyone since Stone Cold, but he doesn't draw the most money. Summerslam proved that.

But WWE has done a nice job with him, involving him in primary story lines, giving him plenty of television time, all while keeping him out of the title picture and perpetuating the internet belief that he's being "held down."

The IWC wants Bryan to be the champ, but once he becomes champ, they no longer have their underdog to cheer for. Once the chase is gone, the support wanes. It's a conundrum, but I think WWE has done a great job with it and has helped him maximize his popularity.

.

I'm into it, which is the first time I've cared about a Big Show match in a few years.

Heyman is fantastic as always, and Lesnar has done a remarkable job of making Show look like a monster. Brock has a gift for acting like a coward while maintaining an intimidating presence. It's hard to explain, but he's mastered it. He could lose every week and you still think he's going to destroy his opponent when he walks down the aisle.

I hated that they obliterated Henry in order to set up the angle, but it worked.

It's the WWE way. Eventually he'll get his title, but this is all part of the storyline to make him appear to be being pushed down by the man only to ultimately triumph. It's reminiscent of the CM Punk storyline a couple of years ago. Bryan might not headline the WM card, but his match might draw more coverage than whoever the WWE decides to pit against Cena (or possibly Orton, but I don't see how Orton headlines the card honestly).

The crowd reaction pretty much took a giant dump on the way the Royal Rumble was booked. At the least, they should've had Reigns get the win.

I agree, crowd pretty much ruined it. I was kinda hoping Reigns would win at the end but figured he wouldn't. Big push for him though.

They ruined it and the WwE deserved it. Burying Bryan mid card in a match that should be on Raw and recycling Orton/Cena in an angle nobody cares about for a non Main Event with a goofy finish was insulting.

Reigns was the only positive for the night except for seeing Big Sexy walk the aisle to the NWO music.

I don't really watch wrestling but I'm a sucker for the Rumble so I watched it with my little brother, which definitely made it okay.

Anyways, the way they got rid of Punk was horrible and you can tell the fans were done with that right there. I like Batista, but that was just too predictable and a horrible way to end it too. Couldn't they have Reigns/Batista face off a little bit more? Why not have Bryan make an appearance? I mean, we really needed those two minutes of Mysterio, which were god awful? And why not Reigns (who the crowd then wanted to win after he got rid of his boys) take off his shield (SYMBOLISM) and then beat a guy who is a lot like him (Batista) and then make him a super duper star and take on Orton? That would been a great move IMO. That's how you can build a star.

But nope, instead we get a most likely Orton/Batista match. Meh.

Although, the Cena/Wyatt angle has some legs.

I really liked the Bray/Bryan match. I like the creativeness of Kofi to stay in the Rumbles but since he'll never win its pretty much a waste.

The pittsburg crowd was the best thing about the ppv.

It was a good show but having Batista in the main event at wrestlemania is complete b.s.

None like him that i can think of right off the bat. If i was forced to pick someone, maybe Dolph Ziggler because of the hair and talent? I may be way off, GA may have a better answer.

Thanks for the answer. I just loved flair's style. The hair, the watches, the robes, the suits. He also fought dirty as hell.

Lol i posted that when he did that upside down backwards walk on all 4's. That was nutty but fit him so well.

My dad was a huge wrestling junkie back in the 80's and 90's. He loves to talk about the "it" factor, the guy that just automatically gets the crowd going and fired up, no matter what the situation is, what their face is, etc.

Anyways, you can tell with a guy like Orton he doesn't have it. They've tried over and over again (I remember when I was in high school and watched it all the time) and he didn't have it back then. Take a guy like Edge, and he did. Especially as the heel.

Bray plays his character so well and gets so into it, he can do whatever and be a huge hit.

Seems like these days the guys never wear suits anymore, always have on their company t-shirts and that sucks. I liked the suits and Rock's $500 silk shirts.

What current wrassler is most like the nature boy?

There aren't any that are totally like Flair. He had a style and persona that he never really had to change very much, just subtle changes depending on whether he was playing more of a face instead of heel. He was great on the mic. Alberto Del Rio plays a similar character, albeit a Mexican version, but his mic skills are nowhere near Flair's level.
