9:52 PM PT -- Officials tell TMZ ... Warrior collapsed outside an Arizona hotel at 5:50 PM on April 8th ... while walking to his car with his wife.

Warrior was transported to a nearby hospital ... where he was pronounced dead.

Latest from TMZ

That kind of stuff is so scary. But a lot of people have mentioned that he seemed very out of breath and seemed "unwell" during the WWE events this weekend.

He's always been kind of a strange dude. Glad he got the final moment in the sun.

I wonder if both he and the WWE knew he was in bad shape and patched things up because of that. Regardless, that's sad.

I hope his body is donated for research. I'd like to see (1) if he had CTE, and (2) the longterm effects of steroids

RIP Mr. Ultimate Warrior. It's sad because we just saw him on Monday Night Raw alive & talking in the ring. As we all know, some of these guys die young & too soon. We almost lost Jerry Lawler a year ago because of a heart attack.

People were saying the announcers at wrestelmania acted like someone had died. Maybe Warrior disclosed to the company that he knew had a short time to live.

The Ultimate Warrior finally returns to Parts Unkown

I'll add the Warrior snort and raise a glass to that.

The Botchamania guy tweeted something in Wrestlemania that was all to true. Something like "Taker loses and Paul Bearer is gone. I guess we're all adults now."

Sad to watch these guys go way too early.

Perhaps.

My thinking was that the WWF kind of screwed him imo and now that he finally got what he wanted all along, he let go.

Warrior is either my first or second favorite wrestler of all-time.

I've been out of wrestling for years now.

Saw Warrior vs. Rick Rude in WWF and Hogan vs. Rick Flair for the championship in WCW live. Parents bought me Warrior wrist bands at the show.

I actually watched a bunch of my old favorite matches earlier. Mainly, my favorite wrestlers.

Hulk Hogan had been my favorite but I became a big Warrior fan and wanted him to beat Hogan. I was a big enough Hogan fan that I liked the movie "No Holds Barred". To this day, I think I still like it. But yeah, Warrior was my favorite wrestler. Then there was Hogan, Brutus the Barber Beefcake that I was a big fan of. Along came The Rockers and Hart Foundation. It wasn't until WCW where I started to like some of the past wrestlers. Macho Man, Scott Steiner(Big Papa Pump), Kevin Nash... I always liked Razor Ramon. Who can forget Razor vs. Shawn Michaels ladder match. Who can forget Shawn Michaels throwing Marty Janetti through the window with Beefcake. Warrior vs. Hogan is an all-time great. So is Hogan vs. Andre. Hogan vs. Savage. Hogan vs. Yoko. Hart vs. Yoko. Hart vs. Michaels(screw job). Michaels vs. Razor. Then we get to the newer era and I was mostly a Triple H/DX and NWO guy. Triple H vs. Rock ladder match. Triple H vs. Mankind for his first title win with Shane McMahon as ref. Triple H vs. Bad Ass Billy Gunn(I was a big Ass fan). Triple H vs. Mick Foley hell in the cell. Mankind vs. Undertaker hell in the cell. In the end, Triple H and Ultimate Warrior are my top guys. I actually remember having a friends that were brothers and they cheered for Nation of Domination over DX. I was like whaaat? Then I also had another friend who cheered for NWO black and red over black and white, again... whaat? Good ole' days when people like John Cena weren't part rock/part stone cold. Two wrestlers I hated, being a Triple H fan and all. I do like rock in movies though.

Ultimate Warrior... played a huge part in me becoming a fan of wrestling.

Same here. I still have my Warrior action figure on my desk in my Man Room at home. For some reason he still has on The Million Dollar Belt, but I digress...

You might want to give it another shot. DVR if you can and you can FF through anything that doesn't interest you.

They seem to be getting a lot better.

If nothing else, throw a little coin at the WWE Network and you can watch all the stuff from back in the day.

As a kid, I thought the Ultimate Warrior was the coolest looking person ever. He came along at a time when GI Joes and action figures were at their peak, and he looked like the living embodiment of that. As far as pure wrestling personas go, he has to be in the top 5 all time.
