As far as I know, they haven't said anything on air about Darren being gay, so shoutout to Darren for wearing the NOH8 hoodie tonight
They've not put it in a storyline, but many were supportive when he came out. I'm not sure he would want to put it into the storyline, and to be quite honest, I'm not sure it has a place.
I want Cena to win by doing what he said, "Becoming a monster for a day," but then, him being unable to turn it off, and suddenly we get ourselves the heel Cena we've all wanted for years.
Is this the wrong place to say that I still kinda miss the WCW? I loved it as a kid and might still watch once in a while but I've never been able to get back into it after it ended![]()
I liked WCW more than WWF. Loved the nWo and Sting is my all time fav. WCW was more action, WWF was more soap opera. I did like both though.
I miss it for two reasons.
It was nice to have more talent showcased on a show that was decent (unlike TNA). Quite frankly, I enjoyed flipping back and forth between shows.
And mainly because it pushed WWE to be better. There's no competition now. They are basically a monopoly, and their laziness will get worse now with the network cause there's even less reason to try and sell their PPV.
I loved the bit with him in the sheep mask, but I don't think he will ever turn heel. Not cause of merchandising reasons, but because of all the stuff he does on the side.
That's another reason why I don't think anybody will replace him as the #1 guy until he decides to retire. Nobody is willing to do all the stuff he does. I don't like him as a wrestler but he is quite phenomenal in that regard.
The Miz does just as much and maybe more then Cena, go listen to his podcast with Jericho. He' merely hated cause of his reality TV b/g. He worked just as hard to get to where he is, and he may work harder then Cena off scene (radio, interviews, appearances, etc.)
Sounds about right. That's the way it should be booked, except for maybe the Battle Royal. But what does that matter anyway? Hopefully WWE doesn't go against those odds just to be "clever" and try to prove it wrong.
I actually don't doubt that Miz has worked harder than Cena to get where he's at. He actually aspired to be a wrestler, whereas Cena aspired to be a bodybuilder. And it shows.
But I was referring more to the stuff like the charity and Make-A-Wish things that Cena does. Nobody can touch him in that area, and most likely never will.
