Not surprising RAW destroyed em in the first and last segments. Who would've thought two has-beens teaming up with a guy with the charisma of a trashcan and a shy monster wouldn't get big ratings. They were doomed from the start.

Hopefully tonight Vince will put a nix on Austin using "What", and that stupid chant will die the slow, horrible death that it deserves.

Of course its not gonna stop it, but him using it is gonna breath new life into it, and we'll be hearing it at least another 10 years, even after SCSA is long since retired.

That was a decent Raw, but I had higher expectations cause of Austin. Its a shame they PG'ed him down some, he was all respect, and he didn't stun anybody. Still good to see him tho.

That said, the best part of the show was the contract signing, and that was mostly because of Vince and Bret, and not Austin.

Thanks to Stone Cold, RAW DESTROYED Impact! 3.71 to .84. It was said that TNA had to come up with something to combat RAW and the result were disasterous.

That's terrible for TNA.

Here's the biggest mistake TNA has made IMO:

Deciding to start their Monday night "wars" (and I use that term loosely) when WWE is on the road to Wrestlemania. Really stupid, stupid decision. This is the time of year when WWE is at their best, when they are most focused, no matter how lousy their product gets. They would've been better served to start it after WM, when things start to die down.

Of course I think the other big mistake they've made is relying on guys like Flair, Hogan, Nasty Boys, Hall, X-pac, etc. to fix themselves up. They're trying to reproduce what they did in the 90's. But the problem with that is those guys were still at the top of their game back then. Getting Hogan was a coupe. Getting Hall and Nash was a coupe. Now, they've dragged Flair out of retirement, and they're missing the point of why it worked in the 90's in the first place.

I think if they really wanna rekindle the Monday night wars, they're gonna have to go after the "now" guys like they did back then. Not the legends and has-beens. Jeff Hardy, all his problems aside, is a start. So is RVD, all his sweat-stains aside if they use him right. They're gonna have to go after guys who are big in the WWE now, cause that's what they did in the 90's.

Frankly, I don't think they can do it. I don't think they have the sense, cause I think the game has passed up Bischoff and Hogan. Nor do they have the cents. They don't have billionaire Ted to back them up like WCW did.

Don't get me wrong. I wish they could do it. I used to enjoy flipping back between Raw and Nitro back in the day. But nobody is really on the same level as Vince anymore. I think it will take a young upstart with enough financial backing to do it, not has-beens.

Great, great post, Volwark. Hogan tried to get Stone Cold and he blew him off. The WWE learned their lesson from the time WCW was big that now loyalty is in place unless you screw up, or don't better yourself. TNA had the right elements until deciding to go after the big guns. They might be in the position of getting screwed if Jeff Hardy gets convicted for drug trafficking charges. Funny they are trying to adopt the risque formula. The same feeling now exist for the young guys in TNA like it did in WCW.

TNA should of kept the same formula they had going and stayed on Thursday night. Mixing in some of the older guys but keeping the young talent at the front of the line. Their biggesset mistake was allowing Hogan to include his tag alongs especially Bischoff!

This is the best thing Batista has ever done. I'd love LSUfreek to get a hold of that and put Jim Harbaugh's face on Batista and Lane's face on the kid in the orange Cena shirt

I saw that. That was awesome.

I know some people don't like him, and I understand why, but I'm starting to warm up to heel Batista. I think he's doing a pretty good job of taking it and running with it.

He also took a legit cut (not a blade) in that match, but refused help with it. When he psyched that guy, I think he was still bleeding.

Yeah, I thought Kofi done broke his nose because they wouldn't close the camera in and get a face shot.

Last Raw before WM.

Should be a good one to inflate the buys for the PPV.

What does TNA counter with, the triumphant return of Virgil?
