I thought the "kissin babies and hugging fat girls" line was good. And Batista is much better as a heel. But...that's all I got!

I'm really not so sure who is gonna win the HBK/Taker match now. Logic dictates it will be Taker. But the general WWE rule of thumb is "look bad on TV, win on the PPV". And Michaels has been looking bad a lot lately, losing so much. On the other hand, WM doesn't always follow the typical PPV rules.

Pretty good article on HHH

I'm not his biggest fan by a longshot (if you couldn't tell by the HGH nickname), and I've always felt that he abused his influence, but that article did make me think. He may not be so bad after all. I guess the kicker is that we will never really know how much he uses his influence.

Edit: The reader comments below the article have some good counterpoints too.

H has been the best in the business over the last decade.

And, if I'm ranking a top 5 pro wrestlers of all-time, he's on the list.

I'm actually liking NXT a lot. The 2nd best WWE show behind Smackdown, and in a lot of ways more interesting than Smackdown. The camera angles are kinda weird sometimes, but I'm warming up to them.

I'm a huge fan of his, but I can't see me putting him in an all time top 5.

Without me giving it too much consideration, I put him 4th or 5th.

I look at it like this...

If I'm a promoter, starting a company from scratch, and I can ink contracts with 5 guys from any point in history to start my organization, Triple H is getting one of my 5 spots.

Hogan's drawn more money than anybody in the history of the business, so you probably have to rank him 1 or 2 on an all-time list, but he doesn't get a roster spot in my company.

Flair
Race
Austin
Henning
Funk

I limited the list to guys I've actually seen, or there would be some changes.

I think thats just a house show, since its on a Saturday (WWE does TV tapings on Tuesday).

It still should be pretty good tho. WWE house shows usually are. Sometimes they're better than Raw.

On one channel I've got Flair braining Hogan with a chair in a nursing home fight. On another channel I've got a bad wrestling show interrupted by Chris Angel pulling a string through his nose and out his eyeball. I don't understand why people think wrestling sucks nowadays.

I think Batista could quite possibly have the largest ears on any living human or primate that I have ever seen.

I noticed that TNA & WWE are on side by side channels on DirecTV....I've always been a WWE guy even though it has sucked for years now & only watched TNA once a couple years ago & thought it was awful....well curiosity got the best of me so I flipped over to TNA & caught the Sting/RVD segment....that was awesome. I loved the way Sting handled it, he was just so calm, casually slugging everyone in the gut with his bat.

I doubt the rest of TNA will be any good but I'll try to watch some of it...

i caught the very end of TNA. there went 3 minutes of my life i can never get back.
Count yourself lucky that you didn't have to endure the previous 15 minutes of two AARP eligible guys seeing who could do a better job of moving in slow motion and overselling the others' misses.

Both shows were terrible. I couldn't stomach either one of them, so I just turned the TV off and did something else.

Calling it right now: TNA (at least in this incarnation) will never be able to push WWE. It is gonna take something really drastic. Bischoff and Hogan are not gonna be able to recreate the magic. One hit wonders. Which is a shame because its obvious the WWE needs to be pushed. Their big intro segment to rival TNA was Taker and HBK going on again for the 'nth time....boring.

Edit: Austin on Raw next week. I don't like the guest hosts taking up much time, but that's one guest host they need to have anywhere and everywhere. I think he and the Rock are the only two people that can save Raw now.
