Is Bret Hart suppposed to be there tonight or not? Heard he was then heard he wasn't. Any of you guys know?

Last I heard, he is going to be there. I would love to go tonight, but its probably too late to get a good seat. Plus by the time I get home, it will be late.

The last shows I went to were a blast. I hope our crowd is not as bad as the Wisconsin or Minnesota crowds. I'd personally like to be there to shut down any of those "What?" chants. They really ruin promos.

Thanks for the info. I'm ready to see Undertaker myself

I watched Genesis and have to say that I liked it for the most part. Not the best PPV TNA has put out in the past 12 months but certainly not the worst by any means. One thing TNA is going to have to do is get away from that Impact Zone and all of the Smarmy fans. I thought upon Hogan's arrival and the live show some of their antics were pretty cute but they were just unbearable last night.

Highlights of the "smart", and I use that term ever so loosely, fans of the Impact Zone:

* During the opening segment of Hogan/Bischoff in the ring they kept chanting, "We want 6 sides." Get over it TNA fans - the 6 sided ring was universally hated by most of the wrestlers from various interviews I've read over the past few years. And to the idiots who think that TNA has always been 6 sides - they were a regular 4 sided ring for nearly the first two full years. I think they should keep the 6 sided ring as a special attraction PPV like Lockdown though to appease the fans of the 6 sided ring. Hogan was clearly flustered by the fans chants in that opening segment.

* They crapped all over Anderson and booed him out of the building when he was wrestling Abyss. They had a pretty good initial pop for him and then remembered, oh, we are smart fans and we need to show that we don't like this guy.

* They really crapped all over Sean Morley during his match with Daniels. What Vince done to Morley was not right by making him a jobber to the stars. TNA may actually push him to his potential and make him a credible wrestler again. Sean Morley in the late 90s was one of the all around best when it came to mic work and he was good in the ring. I've read fans are so upset over pushing the OLD Sean Morley and having him beat Daniels on the PPV. I guess these brains don't realize that Morley and Daniels are the same age - they are both 38. I'm glad to see him get pushed myself and think he can do some good things in TNA. Its just going to take time rebuilding what Vince tore down.

* About 3 minutes into the AJ/Kurt match AJ puts Kurt in a leglock and the fans break out into their, "this is wrestling" chant. Really, 3 minutes into the match? And on a leglock? They could have waited about 20 minutes in when both guys really started ramping things up.

My other random thoughs....

It was good to see Sean Waltman actually able to put on a decent match with the best tag team in the wrestling world today - Beer Money. I hope him and Hall can hang around long enough to get a decent couple of paychecks and not embarrass themselves in the process. I like it that they are playing Hall/Waltman up into being incompetent loose cannons that Hogan/Bischoff/Nash don't want to deal with.

It was really refreshing to see an X Division title match that wasn't a spotfest from start to finish. Brian Kendrick actually worked over Red in a believable fashion and the match delivered. I think overall it was probably the second best match of the night behind AJ/Kurt. And glad they let Red retain and build a little credibility into his title reign.

The British Invasion vs Hernandez/Morgan match was alot better than I thought it was going to be. Brutus Magnus has came a long way from his initial Gladiator type of character in TNA. He and Doug Williams can both wrestle and are coming together nicely as a team.

Did anyone else get a deja vu feeling in the AJ/Kurt match? Think back to 1991 when Flair bolted from WCW to go to the WWF. The title match was Barry Windham/Lex Luger. Harley Race comes down and instructs Luger to finish him off and Luger gives Windham the piledriver to win the World Title and turn from face to heel. Last night was a bit of a different circumstance but put AJ in Luger's role and Flair in Harley's role and I saw a lot of similarities. If AJ would have only given Kurt a piledriver/Styles Clash on the belt instead of smashing him with it then it would have been eerily similar. As it stood that's still what I was thinking about the whole time.

Maybe TNA is getting ready to start a Horseman type group with Flair as the mentor. I don't suppose they could use the Horseman name but they could come up with something else. I'd put AJ, Beer Money, and bring back Austin Aries as the 4th member. Or, you could even replace Beer Money with the Motor City Machine Guns and it would also work.

Again I liked this PPV overall but TNA really needs to find a way out of the Impact Zone because these smarmy fans could really deflate things if they aren't careful. Also, hopefully if they could get out of the Impact Zone they could allow more room between the ring and the ringside rail. It was painfully apparent last night that the rails are too close to the ring as it stood.

Styles, Anderson, and Beer Money, managed by Flair. That's the group that sells.

OH BOY,

The ringleader of the afternoon fights will make an one-night appearance on the 18th of next month.
:chair:

The WWE must not be paying these guys very well because I swear Mark Henry & MVP wore the exact same leotard tonight. Do they just swap back & forth?

They used to be a tag team, so they have similar costumes (MVP and WSM). They just haven't bothered to change them.

The show last night started out really well, but it went downhill fast. I figured there would be some mention of Kiffin by somebody to draw some cheap heat.

The opening segment, Cena/Kofi vs. Legacy, Orton/Sheamus stuff, and The Flame were the only good parts IMO.

I wish they would just break up DX, but I know what will happen if they do. Its like if you fire Hamilton, then you know Fulmer is gonna go after the job. Well, if you break up DX, it means that HGH is gonna be the champion again...all the time.

After tv was over john cena had a match which ended in him leading the crowd in singing Rocky Top and saying "this is for Lane Kiffin" before doing his finisher on his opponent.

Dwayne "The Rock" Johnson spoke to Sports Illustrated this week to promote his new "Tooth Fairy" movie. To read the full interview, visit SI.com. During the interview, the former WWE superstar stated once again that he wants to return to WWE to host WWE RAW and was actually supposed to host the show earlier this month: "I do plan on going back and hosting. I was actually gonna go back this month, but the day I was going to host, I had to go to Mexico for promotion of the movie, so we had to cancel that," Johnson said. Johnson says his return to WWE, rumored to take place this summer, will be more than just a typical one-night guest hosting gig: "I've remained close with Vince McMahon over the years, but here's the key. It's not just to go back and host. I don't want to do that. I want to go back and host and do something special. I want to entertain the fans in ways they haven't been entertained in years."

Is TNA turning into WCW?

I haven't watched wrestling in a long time. Is TNA cutting into WWE ratings at all? It seems like a lot of big names are on their roster now.

It's still in transition mode so it's too early to tell, I will say to me it's 1,000 times better than before Hulk Hogan came on board!

It seems *****off and Hulk learned nothing....TNA was Lame last week. Its my hope someone will salvage it!

I watched the Miz and MVP segment....I think it is time for the next generation of creative talent.
