They both got me to watch last night, and I can say that hasn't happened in a very long time. I would tune in to WWE here, and tune into TNA there like once every couple of months for several years now, but last night was the first time my TV stayed on wrestling for most of a night. Tuned into Boise/TCU sometimes as well.
There were bits of nostalgia involved, but I thought both acts came across pretty weak. I suppose I was hoping for Bret to flash his revenge card first, but then I guess that blows the proverbial WrestleMania wad that they want to accomplish. I just would've expected after all this time that they could've worked out a more fulfilling way to bring it together than just a "Bret hosts Raw and wants to bury the hatchet with everyone" extravaganza.
TNA had better wrestling for sure, AJ v. Angle was great....but I *just* don't know. Seeing Bischoff, Hogan, Nash, Waltman, and Hall all out there together sprouting grey hairs as the segment went on just turned my stomach a little bit. The "push the youngins" angle felt pretty much like the end of WCW to me.
TNA women's wrestling > WWE's hair pulling sessions
Still won't be ordering PPVs of either organization, but it wasn't the worst night of wrestling I've witnessed or anything. It was at least interesting to flip between two channels and have a better chance of seeing something I wanted to see as opposed to not tuning in at all.
