Reigns vs Bryan is just a smoke screen. Neither one of them will face Brock at Mania. They set up the real wrestlemania main event a couple weeks ago, when Brock F5'd Big Show and Kane. Brock vs Big Show vs Kane will be the Main Event at Mania.

lol. that gets a like. Stadium would be even quieter than the last few games of the 49ers season.

If Wyatt is gonna play this cult-like leader character, he needs to steal Kane away from the Authority and bring back the monster. It would easily fit into a feud with Taker since they're kayfabe brothers. Best thing they could do for Kane if he's not going to retire.

He already stole Kane away. Then Kane came back a couple weeks later as Corporate Kane and the topic was NEVER brought up again.

Me and a buddy are planning on going to Dallas for WM32. Anyone ever been to Mania?

Unfortunately I went to the Atlanta one.

Even at its worst, it's worth going for the spectacle. Plus there are all kinds of indie shows, meet/greets, etc in the area over that weekend.

I wish, right up to Mania after we know its Wyatt and Taker officially, we get say, two weeks before, and the Authority comes out, they do a standard "these matches for X Y Z blah blah" then the lights cut and Bray is on the stage. All of them are freaked out naturally, Rollins does this weird threatening/thanking for Ambrose, etc. And Wyatt just sits there smiling from ear to ear, and finally they stop and Wyatt says "I am not here for you. I am here to reclaim what is mine for the battle I have ahead. So, please, join me at long last.... Brother Kane."

And we find out Kane was nothing more than brainwashed long ago, waiting for a trigger phrase/word/etc. and he loses his **** and goes superhuman on everyone in the ring, then leaves with Wyatt. The next week we see Kane in a new outfit, which is simply his original 90's costume, but colors are reversed, so its black flames instead of red, all to piss off taker.

I like your story telling idea

I'd mark out. I don't have faith in creative/Vince/Trips to think of/do something like that, but it would be awesome.

Unfortunately? You got to see Edge's last match.

True, although for some reason it was the broadcast curtain jerker.

The show itself was fairly weak over all. HHH/Taker was good, the rest of the show ranged from decent to smackdown grade filler (Lawler/Cole, The Corre, etc).

Like I said though, it was worth going just for the experience.

I haven't eliminated going to Dallas yet.

OK so I stopped watching wrestling over a decade ago but recently I went to visit a friend and he was watching wrestlemania x. It was a nice walk down memory lane and suddenly I want to start watching again. My question is after watching the awesomeness that was the 90s is it worth watching again or will I be greatly disappointed?

The current product is nothing like the 90's. I, and many others still like it, but a lot of people complain about it today. Just watch for yourself and see what you think.

Also, a suggestion for you. The WWE Network is free for the month of February, i would try it out for more walks down memory lane. Just remember to cancel at the end of the month if you don't want to keep it.

NXT alone is worth my $9.99 a month. It's the best thing going for WWE. Having every PPV (past and future) for that one price is a no-brainer for me too.

WWE network for all the older PPV's and programming + NXT as others have said, would be perfect for you.

I would suggest you watch TNA well before any WWE weekly show if you really just want good wrestling. If you get an itch for theatrics and production, WWE, but don't bother if you're in search of wrestling.

Depends.

Are the matches good week in and week out? YES. The work quality all across WWE is excellent. Other than Kane/Show male superstar wise, nobody is a bad worker.

Are there some characters you can really get into? Most definitely. Daniel Bryan is fun to cheer for. Seth Rollins is a great heel you actually mark for and hate. Bray Wyatt is something we've never seen before. Dean Ambrose is a hell of a character. Bad News Barrett and Dolph Ziggler are fun guys to watch.

There are issues. Vince still thinks it's the 80's. You get horrible women storylines. There are multiple performers that get pushed ridiculously because they are loyal company men. Storylines are inconsistent. The titles don't matter anymore. People go over when it doesn't make sense.

I like wrestling. I left for three years after the Miz became WWE Champion and came back for Batista, Bray Wyatt, and the WWE Network. To me it's worth it.

Here's my suggestion. Record RAW and watch. Sign up for the WWE Network free and see if you like it (you will) and get Fast Lane free. Watch NXT. Best thing in wrestling right now. See if you like it.

I can connect to a lot of the wrestlers. It just seems they are hanging on to old story lines too long and older wrestlers. By all counts, Kane is a great guy. He has no business as Corporate Kane though. Let him hang 'em up. If Big Show hasn't saved enough to protect his family by now, he's never going to. Hang 'em up Show. Mark Henry, actually retire. Mercury and Noble aren't wrestlers anymore for a reason. The Authority can bring in some young blood goons to do their dirty work instead of all those guys mentioned above. And it gets the new talent over as heels. But, most importantly, as I've mentioned before, instead of having some random guy suddenly become #1 contender for the IC Belt or US Belt develop rivalries and storylines to push a rank system to see who fights the champ. Ambrose, Bryan, Ziggler, Cesaro, Miz, etc going after one another to fight Barrett. Rose, Fandango, Ryback, Sandow going after one another to fight Rusev. Ben is the only bigger Cena fan than me here, but there's no reason to push his as the guy to beat Rusev. If a young guy does it, instant credibility. And people won't just drop Rusev.

I don't think killing Kayfabe hurt wrestling as much as creative does. They try to still force the Kayfabe and let the storylines and titles suffer because of it. Wrestlers are going after wrestlers instead of the prized titles.

Complete agree with the bolded. I don't understand why they can't simply get that. Some of the best rivalries I remember growing up were the IC belt like Ricky Steamboat and Randy Savage, and the US belt by far for me was Magnum TA and Nakita Koloff.

That is my argument about Kayfabe though. The creative was as much about Kayfabe so even the storylines you didn't really know what was going to happen and now we know three months in advance who is main eventing WM so for the storyline of getting there is pointless. JMO
