WWE Thread II

So a question occurs to me today - Which hand picked figure is more resented and rejected by the fanbase they are coming in to entertain - Mike DeBord or Roman Reigns?

GA will ban you for bringing that into this thread. :p

XL Center postpones Raw until Thursday

STAMFORD, Conn. – Due to the impending blizzard in the Northeast and statewide travel bans, WWE has postponed tonight’s live event in Hartford and cancelled tomorrow night’s live event in Boston; however, WWE will emanate live tonight at 8 p.m. ET from its studios in the Stamford world headquarters.

Ticket Information:

Hartford, Conn., XL Center: Tickets for tonight’s show in Hartford will be honored for a SmackDown event this Thursday, January 29 that will air live on Syfy.

Boston, Mass., TD Garden: Fans with tickets to tomorrow’s event in Boston will have the option of either exchanging tickets for an upcoming WWE event on Saturday, June 27 or obtaining a refund at point of purchase.

So Smackdown will basically be RAW this week I wonder if it will be on three hours?

They'll still air something but just not anything from tonight. Probably a documentary or two or they could have somebody at the arena doing some narration of something. It won't like a baseball rain out where USA shows re runs of one of their shows.

Got ya. Thanks.

There's a report out there now saying WWE may alter their plans for Wrestlemania because of all the cancellations of the WWE Network hey had with the ending of Rumble last night. It says that Reigns will most likely still main event but they might add Bryan or Wyatt and make it a triple threat.
IMO they could do a lot better what would be your WM card if you put it together?

I saw this.. My biggest problem with WM at the moment is how unbelievable it would be for Reigns to pin Lesnar after the way Lesnar has been booked. If I could script WM, it would look like this..

Miz vs. Mizdow (w)

The Uso's vs The Ascension (w)

Assuming they build the ascension correctly, which they probably won't.

Randy Orton vs. Seth Rollins (w)

HHH vs. Sting (w)

John Cena (w) vs. Rusev -- But I would have Rusev look really strong here. I think these two can work a really good match.

Bray Wyatt vs. The Undertaker (w) -- On this, I really want Wyatt to go over at WM this year, but I like the idea of a Wyatt - Taker build because of their characters. Lots of potential there.

WWE WHC - Brock Lesnar vs. Dean Ambrose vs. Roman Reigns.

I would have Ambrose feud with Show & Kane after they eliminated him last night and thus feud with the authority. Once he beats them, I'd have him demand to be in the championship match at WM (for some reason) and have Sting help him secure a victory over Rollins. This would put HHH over the edge on Sting and help their build while also making the main event WAY more exciting.

In the match, have Reigns pin Ambrose to win. BUT Rollins comes out to cash in. He succeeds and ruins Roman's big moment. Brock then slides out to UFC, while WWE is left with a PERFECT feud with the former shield members all battling each other for the company's top prize. I'm in fantasy land, but that's how I would book it.

Rollins/Ambrose/Reigns for the WWEHC- Ambrose wins a tournament to face Lesnar at Fast Lane, Ambrose beats Lesnar in a hell of a match. Rollins cashes in his MITB with Ambrose demanding his rematch at WM31 and Reigns the RR winner. Winner is Reigns or Ambrose.

Lesnar/Rusev- If Lesnar leaves the WWE, this is how I would do that. Rusev trashes America, Lesnar comes out to a huge babyface pop and defends the country, Rusev goes over Lesnar. Odd? Yes. Would it work? Maybe not. But what great heat for Rusev. Plus Lana and Heyman promos sound fun.

Wyatt/Undertaker- Not sure how you pull this off yet, but this one kind of writes itself and makes so much sense. Wyatt would win.

Sting/HHH- Added "Loser must retire" stipulation with Sting losing clean. Gets his WM moment, gets a standing ovation walking out, HHH gets a little more momentum (dude hasn't won a match in two years), everyone wins.

Ziggler/Barrett for the Intercontinental Title- This would be the second best match on the card. Would reestablish the IC title. Would give Ziggler a much deserved WM31 and can maybe even start his main event push. Barrett would put on a great show and this would be a great old school program if done right.

Miz/Sandow- Slow burn this by the way. But give them ten minutes and let Sandow have a very well deserved moment.

Cesaro & Kidd/Usos for the Tag Team Titles- Would be a great match IF WWE waits till WM31 and gives them ten minutes even on the pre show.

Cena/Sheamus- Sheamus goes heel and joins the authority and cost Cena his match in the ATGMT (we will get there). Two would have a good match, Cena can win so the kids are happy, Sheamus is established enough a loss doesn't hurt him.

Orton/Bryan in the Andre the Giant Memorial Tournament Final- A little like last year's battle royal only with a different twist. A sixteen man single elimination tournament is set up after Fast Lane. Matches are on RAW and Smackdown until we get to WM31 for the final match in the tournament. The winner gets a championship main event match at Summerslam.

Excuse the fantasy booking but I didn't work today and was bored and thought of some of this today and you asked :)

Also, if the ATGMT sounds like a really dumb idea, we can scratch that. Then you have Orton beat Lesnar and Bryan beats Rusev in a great match.

One thing that could help Reigns is if creative would stop controlling him and let him be free. IMO, he needs to go back to how he was before the injury.

Zjc, that's also how I would run WM.

I can't believe they're actually going to show the Rumble with the reaction it got. They'll probably try to edit out the boos though. No clue how they can do that with how loud they were.

If you don't have the WWE Network, I suggest turning on Raw and watching this championship match.

Just make sure you turn it off before the rumble.

I guess I'm the only one who didn't have a huge problem with the rumble match itself (Wait, make that 2. My uncle enjoyed the match.)

Edit: It wasn't the best match, but it didn't ruin the ppv for me.

I didn't think it was bad but it wasn't great. I enjoyed Bubba and DDP. And we already knew who was gonna win so it wasn't a shocking surprise that DB lost.

What I didn't like was a third of the entrants were a waste of an entry. Instead of solid wrestlers like Orton, Sheamus, etc. We got Titus O'Neil, Curtis Axel (who didnt even make it), Sin Cara, R-Truth, Zack Ryder, Fandango, Adam Rose, etc. Why were Big E and Swagger in so long? And then they have Bryan out, Ambrose out, Wyatt was great and then was put out in a meaningless way. It was horrible. I understand they got rid of all the fan favorites HOPING it'd make the fans cheer for Reigns but it backfired in a monumental way. It just could have and should have been so much better.

Orton was held out for an upcoming storyline. There's always people in it who are a waste or an entry.
