So much this: West TN Vols are as passionate as East TN Vols, only difference is we can't make it to Neyland 6-7 times a year, so if there's a road game in the Memphis/Oxford/Starkville/Arkansas area, you can bet your a** we'll be there!People underestimate the power of West Tennessee Vols fans when it comes to road games at Arkansas, MSU, Ole Miss
I was two sections over from the band, and rarely heard them, granted they only brought the small pep band, but it was hard to hear State's band, they played too much other nonsense over the speakers. The only time I truly heard the band was at the end, when we won.My sister went and I text her after one of the early TD's and told her to let any MSU fans around her know the cowbells were not drowning out Rocky Top on the tv.
Did they have any true tailgating there? I didn't notice any but the tents all lined up near the stadium, kind of like Ole Miss and the Grove. We drove from mid Tennessee, crazy game, great trip! Great tailgate atmosphere and State fans were overall very nice.
No issues.
Go Vols!
