I can understand what you're saying though I can't really relate. I always feel fortunate about my upbringing when I hear terrible stories from the less fortunate.

Still, seems like a very chivalrous ideology, i.e. unfair. Jmo.

I'll openly admit it probably is to a degree on my part. Not being able to stop it when I was a kid definitely contributes to my thought process in these cases. I always look to protect now, cause I couldn't then. Sorry for getting all heavy in here. Lol

I will say it's not always the smartest thing to intervene. I was at a bar and this guy back handed his gf and snatched her by her hair, naturally I rush over and push him. We exchange words and I push him again, next thing I know this crazy chick is on my back slapping me telling me to leave him alone. Needless to say I'm a little more cautious now. Lol

Also I don't want it to come across as a one way street with me. I know both genders can be abusive and it's never ok.

I thought the reason McKnight got denied by the SEC was because he wasn't in good standing with the school he had just left. That's an SEC rule, not an NCAA rule. I think the same thing would apply here. The NCAA would clear him and the SEC wouldn't.

No that's not why, an appeal had to be filed to the SEC because it was Mcknight's 2nd for year school, wouldn't be the case with this guy so SEC waiver wouldn't be needed.

They all say no thugs, but it's still about winning in the end. I hope he passes on this kid, but I can also understand why he would take him.

Some are obviously a bit more lenient than others on that though, I would have to know more about the kids past and also the situation. Obviously if he's not spending time in jail there's a reason for that, I'm curious of that reason.

Voted no.

While I don't necessarily want choir boys, domestic abuse is across the line in my world. No excuses.

The solution is an easy one!!!!!!!!!!! Only date women who have class. Don't get with women who cruse like a sailor. Drink like a sailor. Wear very very revealing clothes in public, etc. etc.

A classy woman will not behave in that manner, thus you would not ever be in that situation..........

Problem solved!!!!!!

you get what you choose to settle for...........

In essence date/ marry a Quaker women guys!

So far, it's just an accusation and not a conviction.
I need to know more details before judging the kid.

I would look into the incident. I have known of situations where a woman was the aggressor, the man is forced to defend himself, and the woman plays the victim when the cops show up. Not saying that happened here, but this is why you look at the accusations against him. We need a PG, but taking him with this hanging over him is a PR risk. No matter what really happened.
