Worst Neyland experience?

'86 Army was pretty horrible.

Intercepted Army late in 4th qtr deep in our own territory- we go 3 and out.

Instead of taking a safety and preserving the win Johnny decided to punt - Army blocked it and recovered for a TD to win.

Remember hearing someone say afterwards "once again Coach Majors was able to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory "

Never had a bad time. Only went to one game prior to getting season tix. I have the chair backs so I don't have the problem of people taking up my seat.

Seriously? An aneurysm over Vandy in a 5-7 season?

I've been to 80% or more of these games and that one doesn't even rank for me.

Yeah man. I felt like it. At that point we had a losing streak to vandy. At least most of these other games we lost to decent teams but a losing streak to vandy solidified just how far we had fallen and it dang near killed me. Lol

Plus we could have went bowling for the first time in 3 years. I had the same thing happen after the Music City Bowl in 2010. I almost drove from the stadium to the hospital.

2000 Florida, no question. I still get angry about that game. Absolutely despised Florida ever since.

I forget the year, but we played South Carolina in a night game at Neyland. We won (20-13, I think), but it was SO freaking cold. The wind was relentless in the upper deck. And there was a drunk SC fan screaming "First down Cocks" after every. Single. First. Down.

2001. It was 17-10. Was that when Fat Albert had the game of his life?

We won the 2000 Alabama game, but The people who sat in front of me must have had corn cobs up their you-know-whats. Everytime I would even say "Damn" or "Hell" they would just turn around and give me an evil stare. I mean come on people, if you go to sporting events you can't expect to see people golf clapping and hearing them say "good grief!" when something bad happens. Very annoying to have to hold myself back and I did that all game long because of a couple of wussies.

I take that back. Can't remember which game (we won), but it was chilly and rainy prior to. I brought a other UT (burnt orange type) fan to the game.

Mine was a mix between best and worst, The Oklahoma game was the wildest i've ever seen it! But I also got the worst migraine of my life,

Ended up in the medical office(room). Greatest thing i've ever witnessed!! (Besides the loss)

I think it was the 08 Florida game where my soon to be wife passed out from heat exhaustion and I had her friend take her to medical personnel so I could watch the rest of the game. Took me awhile to find her afterwards. She still brings that up.

2012 Florida. Freshman year, night game, on my birthday, with seats on the 45. You know the rest.

Edit: That game was the first and last time I wore my orange pants.

I was at that game as well . . . Cadets went through frat row parking and keyed a bunch of cars, including mine!

2010 Buffalo Game!!! I purchased tickets to bring My Wife and Kids to their First Game ever at NEYLAND Staduim !! We were so excited. It was an early game , and I couldn't get friday off , so we couldn't leave til the morning of the game , we lived 6 hours away. I packed the car late Friday night , and we left at around 3am Saturday morning. We were coming through Cherokkee, NC at the Main Redlight where the Mcdoalds and gas station were, at about 8am, when an Elderly couple in a Cadallic , Ran the red light and T-Boned us , Totalled our Car , but we all walked away with no injuries!! (So that was Good) , but still have not been able to go as a entire family together to a real game yet. (Just orange and White games). But this year we are making the trip for the Nov. 5th game against Tennessee Tech!!! Not much of a game but at least we all will get to go!!! This time we are going around Cherokkee

2014 Florida for me. It was freezing, Florida had another come-from-behind last quarter win with a 2nd string QB, and I had a group of five or six Gator fans in front of me.

Hobnail boot game was misery. Traveling to Athens a year later to watch the game from Sanford Stadium and hearing the Hobnail Boot radio call over and over the entire way there in 2002 sucked also.

Pre-satelite radio days were tough during away games.

WSB still plays it with regularity during football season ad nauseum.

Yeah I know that's why I go to so many games....so I can scream obscenities at the top of my lungs for no apparent reason.

The Dooley Missouri debacle when he played for OT and loss. I knew that was it. I was done and yelled at that whus and telling the entire world to fire him now. I would've yanked him off that field before the OT even started and coached them myself.

This is an easy one. The day I witnessed Herschel Walker Run Directly Over Bill Bates on his way to the record books:mad:

At one game I attended, a vendor came up the isle carrying soft drinks and he was wearing a Floriduuh cut bait cap! The whole section was hurling the worst insults I've ever heard at this young man! They called him everything but a white boy! It was great! Oh, my bad you were asking for the worst... Sorry. Anyway, my 11 year old son was with me, and he looked up at me and said, "Daddy, is that the way we talk to gator fans?" I said, "Yes, yes, it is son!"

That's awesome. I'm glad to hear some are still raising their children correctly.

Jump higher Vols.
