Oklahoma 2015. I'm stationed in Florida but drove up to take my father who just retied from UPS. Paid $400 for the tickets and the way we lost, painful. It was great to be with my dad, but painful for the way we lost.

UF 2002 monsoon, 2003 UGA fumble to end the half, 2004 Barn game blowout and I got tossed for having mini bottles by KPD, double whammy.

I will add the 2006 Gator game as well. That game was over after the pick 6 to put us up 24-7, but got called back on Mapu's bogus roughing the passer call. Another 1 point loss to the Gators. 3 in 10 years 😭🔫

First game at Neyland in 2013 against Vanderbilt, Dad (his first game since the 80's) and I standing next to an middle aged couple, maybe in their 50's, very wealthy, on the Tennessee Sideline. The wife of the couple really didn't want to be there, glowered at me for having the audacity to yell, and reprimanded me for the stream of obscenities that escaped me when Vandy scored the winning touchdown late.

Fair weather fans should stay home.

September 26, 1987 - UT vs Auburn - Tied 20 - 20 - Worst part, we had three people in two seats, my girlfriend sat in my lap - in the Auburn section! Those Auburn jerks complained the whole time, this old lady threatened to have her son whip my butt - Until I stood up - 6'-3" - 265 . . . but my girlfriend made sure I had a happy ending for the day!! :devilsmoke:

Back when there were ties, to me it seemed worse than a loss. For the record it's not as bad, but for the experience, seemed worse. That 26-26 tie to Auburn (maybe '90), wrecked me the most, I'm still not the same.

Any unpleasantness I've ever experience at Neyland has only been score related.

Going down memory lane, I can dig it.

2016 will be a year to remember. The year that started the Back to Back NC run.

Jump higher Vols.

PS. The bathrooms around NN don't have a baby changing table.

1991 against UCLA. Hotter than hell. My wife had a hard time battling the heat. I was rubbing ice on the back of her neck with one hand and cheering with the other. She ended up losing consciousness and was taken to the hospital via ambulance. She would only go to games in November after that episode.

2006 Marshall. It was a torrential downpour and we did not play well at all. In fact, the game wasn't really in hand until late in the 4th quarter if memory serves. Just a miserable day sitting in that weather and watching really bad football.

Was at DAuphin Island, AL on vacation. Watched that from the beach house. All remember is that we had a 3-10pt lead throughout. And they had a WR #40 that our defense allowed to look like the second coming of Jerry Rice.

Rediculous call that stole our TD and kept us from blowing the game open. We were good enough that season to win the natty, except for that and Ainge getting injured later. I'm still pi$$ed about that call.

Was that the call where the lineman's pinky nail grazed Christy Leak's helmet as he followed through? Forever one of the worst, game-changing calls I've seen.

2012 UF game. First game where I wasn't in the student section. Buddy and I sit in the upper deck. First play we hit UF for a huge loss. I scream and shake my pompom. Huge drunk red neck behind me says "if that thing touches me I'm gonna whup your @ss!" I turn around and say "it's cool man, we're on the same team" he says "I don't know you and I ain't afraid to go back to prison for beating the sh1t outta you." I ignore him until the 2nd half when UF takes the lead. He just starts talking about how he's gonna fight everyone between the stadium and the truck if UT loses. Buddy and I moved down a section after that. 1st time I realized we have some horrible redneck fans just like Bama

I'd be quite confident anyone saying that hasn't been to prison.

I'm not exactly a small guy and I've held my own in a couple fights, but this was a beast of a man, looked like a 2x4 upside the head wouldn't faze him. Woman with him looked really nervous when I turned around and tried to talk to him.

I was just minding my own business, walking to the stadium with tall Bud in my overalls and they took it!

A real Bad A$$ would have just beat the sh!t out of you and went back to prison.

He sounds like a punk, talk trash and not back it up.

My brother can be rude at times.

All Vols will be happy with this year results.

Jump higher Vols.

I've always maintained that the '06 team was National Title good.

2009 UCLA. This was my first time in Neyland Stadium. The mountain man next to me is wearing overalls with no shirt, has a gnarly Grizzly Adams beard, and smelled like he hadn't showered in days. The game was brutal with a bunch of turnovers and a heartbreaking loss. We drive back to Chattanooga to stay with family for the night before driving back to South Carolina where I was stationed the next day. On the ride home to SC, I start feeling pretty terrible. I feel like I'm dying over the next few days. Come to find out, I picked up swine flu. I can only assume it was at the game because that was when it was running rampant on college campuses everywhere.

Even after all of that, I wouldn't trade being a Tennessee fan for anything. I've made sure to make it to at least one home game every year since then. Even through two years of being stationed overseas and a deployment. We've got something special on Rocky Top.

Hobnail boot game was misery. Traveling to Athens a year later to watch the game from Sanford Stadium and hearing the Hobnail Boot radio call over and over the entire way there in 2002 sucked also.

Pre-satelite radio days were tough during away games.

Sad thing is I have been to about 70% of the games listed on here. Lol. Worst was 2013 Vandy for me by far.[\b] I'm pretty sure I had an aneurysm at the end of that game.

Seriously? An aneurysm over Vandy in a 5-7 season?

I've been to 80% or more of these games and that one doesn't even rank for me.
